Why didn't the men just gather as well?

why there is reality and patterned, law-like consistency at all, rather than noise or non-reality is not a question physics answers. It's a question physics presupposes an answer to in order to provide other answers.

Men under 18 and over 50 did. The meat protein that was statistically obtainable was too valuable to their diet to pass up. But still, hunting was hard work even for them. Given that all meat brought into camp was shared, men's focusing on hunting was adaptive.

the labor "economy" in tribes are almost always gendered [save in rare instances]. matriarchal tribal clans are usually less developed, why? lack of passionarity. they get "fat and happy". ever see those Venus statues? that's why that exists.

I don't believe the evidence supports that conclusion. Hunting and gathering has occupied at least 90 percent of human history. BTW, recent archaeological research suggests sexual division of labor was the fundamental organizational innovation that gave Homo sapiens the edge over the Neanderthals.

Yeah, well, let's not forget that many thousands of people still are hunter-gatherers. Even at the time of Christ, the entire Western hemisphere was essentially hunter-gatherer, with a few small-scale proto-civilizations mixed in, almost all of which were relying on hg techniques. A huge portion of the Eastern hemisphere still was, too. Western civilization goes back eight to ten thousand years. Our species goes back possibly as far as 500,000 years. So that comment is basically just ridiculous and stupid.

im not arguing that HG didnt exist, just that its a stop gap measure employed in between catastrophes

do any of you know anything about the megaliths and their obvious challenges to the mainstrem narrative?

there are megalithic ruins worldwide, they are indisputable evidence of highly advanced peoples, they were destroyed between 13,000 and 50,000 years ago according to best estimates, modern man knows very little about these mega cities, most of the information available to us comes from myths and stories that later peoples told, one thing for certain is that a worldwide catastrophe destroyed them all, some were better preserved such as egyptian pyramids and gobekli tepe, some were remembered better by the survivors such as the sumerians who recorded their history of the world before it was destroyed, others were enshrined in myth such as the viking ragnarok which describes a great upheaval that created a whole new world

the world has experienced many cyclical catastrophes, the latest being the younger dryas event at around 13,000 years ago, the great flood at around 6,000 years ago and evidence is emerging of an event around 900~1000ad, anthropologists and geologists struggle to explain these events and their connection to megalithic ruins so academia largely has ignored them, but the story is beginning to take shape

our solar system has many cyclical influences it progresses through as we orbit the galactic center, one of the newest to be discovered is called the galactic current sheet, much like our own suns electrical output it rises and falls in a sinusoidal sort of way, at the middle of this wave is the zero point where polarity changes, the frequency of this wave form is possibly around 13,000 years from peak to peak, the magnetic effects we see on earth such as the pole shifts and weakening geomagnetic shield are likely related to our position on the wave, some think we may be approaching the crossover from one polarity to the other

at the crossover point the solar system will be at its most easily perturbed state, outside influences can disrupt the balance of the system, this would allow much more chaotic interactions of planets and debris, if enough perturbations amass in one event it can alter the entire system permanently, causing great changes on all planets

one particular event of note would be a super flare or micro nova of our sun, a weakened heliosphere may allow a great quantity of interstellar dust to enter our system, if the dust accumulates on the sun to a great degree it could solidify breifly before being incorporated and then ejected in a violent explosion, the ejected plasma would cause great destruction on earth and could even change our rotational speed and our orbital position

none of this is my imagination, scientists are just now realizing this potential scenario and are beginning to investigate, but if you study the myths and stories of ancient cultures they have already documented these events

the story of life on this planet is far more complicated and amazing than most people will ever know

Wait - a cataclysmic event in 900-1000 AD?

Could you post some links to your refs?

there is no link i can provide for a catastrophe around 900ad, it is something i have discussed with a handful of people into alternative history, and the evidence is scant at best, so its just a question at this point

the event, if there was one, was limited mainly to the west americas and pacific area, it was likely not as energetic as previous events and may have occurred mostly over the ocean so few people would have seen it, but the time period in mesoamerica reflects a period of forced change

Quote:
The collapse of the Classic Maya sites in Guatemala, such as Tikal, was almost certainly due to a combination of factors. A ruling class concerned with constant warfare, deforestation and soil loss, plus a series of droughts beginning in 800 AD, and perhaps peasant rebellions, brought about the collapse of the city-states, one by one, between 700-900 AD. It was followed by an enormous depopulation of the lowland Guatemala area. No doubt many fled to the Yucatan, where water was more reliable, but undoubtedly many perished of malnutrition and were killed during struggles over scarce resources.

i suggest the movement of the people may have been in response to this event and not just social collapse, many cities were abandoned for unclear reasons which seems suspicious

furthermore, there is some evidence from the climate record that an energetic event occured around the same time, the 'little ice age' in europe was preceeded by a wild fluctuation in temperatures, the chart shows a major cold spell around 784 and then massive warming until around 1000, then the temps fall again for several hundred years

the climate instability could be related to some kind of solar activity, perhaps a super flare or a series of flares, people of the time would not be able to see any difference in the sky from day to day as effects from  flares are mostly invisible except for aurora at the poles

its not a proper theory so dont taze me bro

Modern feminism—or much of it, anyway—seems to want to turn women into men. It speaks of subverting the patriarchy while placing primacy on the importance of patriarchal ideals—women ascending in the corporate world, competing directly with men for jobs, etc. This runs contrary to what one would imagine feminism to be; for example the empowerment of the archetypal feminine, which arguably is devalued in modern Western societies.

No one wants to talk about that.

Furthermore a lot of feminists and post-modernists more generally are trying to make the claim that men and women are the same: they are not. There are differences. Obviously. Expecting woman to adhere to male traits or men to become more feminine is a recipe for an epidemic of depression and social collapse.

Nonetheless as human beings we lie to ourselves all the time. “I want a nice guy,” a woman might say. No. You want a hunter, or a man displaying strength and courage and other qualities evolutionarily selected for. Women now take men—the ones who, when necessary, fight and die for them—for granted. Chivalry is about dead. The other day I saw a man hold a door open for a young I-gen women. Her response? A loathsome scowl. I thought, “we’re fucked. This is the mechanics of the collapse of a hollow culture.”

We are a warrior species, apex predators. We’ve lost touch with our power. In the absence of opportunity, ridiculed and vilified, men are checking out and playing video games. Women’s depression rates are skyrocketing. We continue to lie to ourselves about who and what we are in this era of post fact. I dint think nature herself could have ever predicted this. Such a strange predicament.

I think that when we have nothing tangible to worry about—hunting, gathering—we implode into irrational chaos and self-destruction.

RedPill as fuck and spot on. Many argue this iteration of feminism is a "shit test", and men are failing it. Big time. Fantastic post.
