Exactly and because each woman has hers set somewhere different, how can you know? I say, play it safe and keep derogatory talk of women of a sexual nature out of the work place. It doesn't belong there unless that's what you are paid to talk about.

You have a gift for gab, you must be able to come with other topics not related to work to chit chat about while at work around women.

Like we have not been and still are not at the mercy of men in this world??????? Do you fear being raped when you go out shopping at night TomCat? Men are physically stronger overall and still heading the country and most corporations and households.

We depend on your sensitivity, respect, consideration and gentility to feel safe and secure in this world and life. You didn't know that?

I believe this issue was elegantly expressed by Peter Griffon when he said, "Women are not people, they are devices built by our Lord Jesus Christ for our entertainment." (Some spirituality for this thread. :wink:)

Women talk about how society has always looked down on them, so therefore they should be treated "more equally" than men. What? If you want equality, then take it, but many want to be elevated on some high pedestal where you can't even make remotely offensive jokes around them, and this will just end up making the issue even worse for women in the long-run. People cannot be contained to be politically correct and oppressed by legal threats.

It was a topic in my training today that all us guys sat there with our jaws on the ground as she explained that we had NO POWER....  None....    And certain situations to NOT get into by accident....  I work with women Jiggy, and I think you know my charactor enough to know what I am about....    It has not changed from the voice you heard on the phone....  I felt like firing up a topic that would let me play....  :wink:    It just happened to be about something I am learning about....  Part of my life's learning.... 

You bringin "Rape" and stuff like that to back up your cause is throwing up "Shock and Awe" to the fact that you are still 100% passionate about a woman's movement of power....  However, you are throwing up an emotional distraction to the fact that you are not really talking about the topic, you are marching ahead with a plan of power.... 

Instead of bring in the smoke screen about the past atrocities of the whole world towards women, come back to the workplace, and please, if you will, tell me exactly where you dis-agree with my words....    :heart:


Take emotion out....    Take the passion out....  Take the march out of your words....    See if you can find a point that you do not agree with me....    I am on your side....  I am not fighting for anything....  I am getting trained on a course in reality....  It is actually kinda~ scary now knowing how bad it could get at the workplace from one little misperceived notion.... 

Imagine for a moment, with the intents I have here, that I had made this comment at work with you there.... I would be fried, and I didn't even say any wrongfulness....    All of your smoke screen was about anything to do with an actual situation, it was all generalizations about female victims in the world, not the workplace.....

Ohhh one last note cuz this is important. You called the rape stuff a smoke screen. Well its all smoke in the end. But for now where things seem pretty damn real, the current statistic is that one out of every 10 women will be forcefully raped in their life time. I haven't been but know dozens who have been violated to the core of their being.

Please guys, if I may implore you from my knees to be mindful of who you make certain cracks and jokes around, if you care, as the chances are 1 in 10, you will do more then just offend a female, you may reinforce her idea that she deserved to be raped in a yet, male dominated world. That's why I pulled it into the convo!

You guys will talk how you will in this world, I am just speaking to the guys who care to know what some women think about it.

women can only control men if men allow themselves to be controlled by women. All a woman is is a fucking warm wet hole. Men are smarter, stronger, and more capable. The only man who lets a woman run his life is a man with no fucking balls.

I think women take advantage of the "yell sexual harrassment" syndrome way too much. I don't really like women. I have three strikes against me: I'm a woman, I'm a Christian, and I'm an attorney.

Well, anyways...

In my office, we are all equals. There are 3 attorneys here. Two women, one male. We frequently talk about sex, and bondage, and titties, and "bend over". If I was an employee, and if I wanted to make some money, and if I was hired help, I could sue the other two attorneys and make a lot of money.

I prefer an office where we can banter about ANYTHING.

My bf is in an office, however, that has to observe THE RULES regarding sexual harrassment, because some woman WILL SUE if she hears any comments about sex. Because of the legal liability, the guys have to keep their jokes between themselves.

I would hate to be in that office, where guys couldn't tell jokes in front of me, even if the jokes were about women. I want to hear ALL the jokes.

You know what I really hate? I hate getting those emails where men are being bashed. I especially hate when it's a guy who sends it to me, as if to show he's man enough to enjoy a good laugh at his gender's expense.

I think those jokes about men are women's way of getting even. It's wrong. Even if it was wrong that women were considered substandard at one point in our society doesn't make it alright to bash men now.

No, I don't believe I have 3 strikes against me.  I am speaking on behalf of the population.  Much of the population of people think that women are liars and play games, and much of the population hate attorneys, and much of the population hate Christians.

what a long thread!

I spent three years at college in an engineering course where 95% of the students were males. I got so fed up with stupid sexual jokes that the moment I left I felt quite releaved.

I don't think this should be a case for lawsuits, for me it's just each person's culture, way of life, values and identity.
do I feel unconfortable about this kind of jokes and about the way many times man speek of women like rubber dolls? yes I do. and if woman go around doing the same about man I find it equally stupid. I don't really understand how something like that can fit into spiritual development...

fortunately in my working place there is no place to such commentaries and jokes. integrity and respect are thumb rules here, and my personal way of being was probably one of the things that got me this job.
