Cause uhhhh... what the fuck else are you going to do? :lol:... and you store it in batteries and just use it yourself, no one 'offgrid' is just going to only use the energy they're using at the given moment and waste the rest

Either you have a generator.. which is loud, requires constant fuel - polluting and is often equally as expensive as solar for a good one.. kinda defeats some of the common purposes for living off grid

wind; don't know as much about setting this up - or what kind of equipment it takes to power a home; but I feel it'd be cool to supplement solar with

microhydro- again don't know much but requires a specific geographic location more than any of the options

solar - the sun is basically everywhere... and the tech is pretty good


Most places I've lived with people who have solar panels; they rarely end up with such a huge surplus that they'd want to sell it. Furthermore - sometimes they would have a "spillover" battery that community members would be attached to that allows the energy when the battery is full to then be transfered to a communal battery that allows other community members to draw from it if their system runs out of power.

Most everyone of course has a small backup generator - but yeah, when I've lived off grid - if it wasn't a very sunny day, we didn't have the best solar panels - we'd run out of electricity by about 11pm usually. Usually, we'd just light a fire and candles be cool with that, but we also had the option of firing up the generator. It just was annoying sounding and we didn't feel like driving 40 minutes down a mountain and back to go get gas from town.

The batteries are definitely the weakest link.  All of my solar is grid-tied, of course, but if it weren't I'd need tens of thousands of dollars worth of batteries to keep my power on all day long.  Gridtie allows me to use the grid as a battery.

Edit: I think it’s more like 40 people shot at close range with a semi automatic rifle. He then went back and shot most of the victims multiple times again.

Police report four attackers arrested. Explosives were involved as well.

Shooters gun has anti-migration and anti-Muslim statements written on it. Right wing ideology is a disease.

I don’t know how I feel about sanitizing shit like this. If mass shootings were less abstract I think they would be less easy to dismiss.

No, EU citizens have NO moral or legal obligation to take in any third world migrants at all. They have borders, national sovereignty and citizenship for a valid reason. No one in their right mind would sign up for some insane free for all, not gonna happen.

These EU citizens you speak so highly of benefits off third world misery.

Obviously they have moral obligation to take in poverty-stricken human beings. It's very simple.

The only people that benefit from bringing in broke third world migrants into first world nations are The Elite, the rest of the 99% of the population are fucked over in a large variety of reasons.

In EU, many migrants take the jobs Europeans don't want.

If EU citizens want to help third world citizens, the best deal would be assistance from a distance. That doesn't involve inviting third world migrants with no money, education or language ability into their homelands.
