I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Not a chance. Certain establishment Dems, like Tim Kaine have come out in opposition, and no Republican is voting for SOCIALIST healthcare.

It could be that so many Dems are jumping on board because they know this will fail, but thats gonna cause them problems if/when they backtrack on this down the road.

It would appear that single payer will be a central Dem platform for 2020, if not the midterms.

Single payer.
$15 min wage.
Campaign finance.
New Glass Steagall.


4 positions that need to be central to every single Dem candidate going forward.

just like trump and obama and bush did

Bernie would have won and he supports all those things.

New Glass Steagall is on BOTH party platforms, $15 min wage DNC platform, everyone wants campaign finance reform, and the majority of Americans support single payer.

Yes, absolutely a candidate could win with that platform.

3 of those of those 4 items I mentioned either funnel money FROM the top, or regulate the banks. And the other one helps to ensure politicians follow through on their promises.


It takes a lot to hold them accountable, but at least some of these scumbags will actually identify the problems.

but money is already funneled from the top by the billions all around the globe yet do you see much changes for the over all bettering of humanity?

not exactly, in fact things are on quite the downhill slide its just masked underneath the thick smoke screen of advanced technology and "new understanding" that gives people the ability to live in ways that are very self satisfying but sadly these self satisfying life styles often do little to benefit the over all schematic of society.

we end up all running into a situation where we feel we have no impact in the greater picture because the population is so high and the global economy is so fucked up

my point is that funneling the money from the top down has reached a point of such an extreme that it wont even put a dent in the top anymore

it comes down to the debate over the validity of trickle down economics

The latest poll I've seen shows 60% are in favor of it.  And my guess is that number will only grow if more candidates support it.

Secondly, why do you feel so strongly that low income workers shouldn't get healthcare like the rest of us?

Bernie even proposed a regressive flat income tax of 2.2% for everyone to make it more palatable.
