Called Tek support, they said, "Do you want to send it back so that we can repair it?" I was like, HELL NO, I want a $1000.00 computer to fucking work out of the box.

This is why I have always built my own computers, I just didn't have time this year.

:lmafo:, "I want a 1000.00 computer to fucking work out of the box."

Yea, that and being my own tech support and knowing exactly what's in my PC is why I build. Plus its fun lol, its like spawning a much more complicated tub. MB is your liner, ram and gfx and sound cards and hdd/ssd are the grains and the power supply and external inputs are the FAE.

Gonna drop some more TMF from spores

@Eno

Fallout 4 is amazing for the first few days. Then it starts to feel like skyrim and you get way to overpowered. I'm level 20 now and I've done like 1 story mode mission and I just went around and did everything else by random chance encounter and I have some of the most powerful guns.

I had to up the difficulty to the hard so it would take more then one shot to kill a super mutant lol.

But overall 10/10 game. I got the urge to play now haha. I've heard great things about the story mode, I'm gonna try to finish it in one sitting.

I also grabbed the Lone Wanderer perk which lets you carry more without a companion and if you use dogmeat he doesn't count so you get your extra carry weight along with a companion who can carry things. Some people say its a glitch but honestly dogmeat is a shitty companion compared to everyone else who you can give a gun to and can kill people. The dog is just a distraction.

Just something to keep in mind if you like going it solo. F4 is difficult with no one at all so I picked the dog just to distract some gun fire and found the glitch.

I pirated it and played through it a little bit but the framerate was shit on my computer's built in GPU. I really enjoyed skyrim and new vegas. I thought it would be fine on my desktop because I could run skyrim on high quality no sweat, but I was wrong. This 750ti won't let me run it on ultra high 1080p, but I'll be able to play it smoothly.

Not new. I've had this thing for years but never got around to sharing it until now. Its a grain drying rack I built from scratch. It's foldable for easy dumping into a bucket. Holds enough grain for 40 quart jars. Build costed about  $20.

Badass. If I still used rye I'd totally rock one of those. Oats don't need to be dried like that. I always used to spread my rye out on a towel so that's fuckin nifty.

Man I had hoped to have enough Christmas money left over to buy that sous vide. I think it will have a lot of potentially great uses with mushroom cultivation, but I splurged on computer stuff and the sous vide will have to wait a couple of weeks.

How do you dry oats that quick? This rack still takes a bit to dry, even with two fans. Its helped on wbs, milo (curremt) and wheat.

:takingnotes: Man I'm kicking myself because before Christmas they had those extra blade and gasket kits for cheap on the shelf, and now I will prob have to order them. I haven't looked but can prob get in store pickup online though.  Your results with liquids is amazing, itching to get started myself. Along with poly at spawning should be crazy fast from inoculation to harvest.

Look on line for replacement blades. I found a canadian whole sale site that sells Oster blade for like $5. I'd be surprised if you couldn't get them even cheaper in the US. I have 6 and still wish I had more.

I started using them to inoculate and mix my LCs.

This blender and parts to convert the 925 to a sterilizer was my Christmas gifts this year, can't complain.
Great idea for the LC as well muda, so many options. Probably get some cornmeal plates going tomorrow. Just checked real quick and Walmart online has the extra parts in store pickup for 10$ but I will do some searching and probably find them cheaper.

Great for sealing pasteurization bags and spawn bags without worrying about cutting holes in the bag with some scissors. And you can use them indefinitely.

Sometimes the simplest tools make the biggest difference. I always used e xacto knives for a scalpel , with electrical tape on the handle because they get too hot.

I finally bought one of these full spear s calpels with the fixed blade. Its not really sharp but it cuts thru agar real nice and the way the tip is angled the wedges dont get stuck to the blade! The whole tip glows red pretty fast and the handle doesnt get hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold after a while.
Its easy to keep clean and  it fits quite easily down into culture slants which is nice.

For folks using e xacto knives, I recommend shelling out the 8-10 bux for this tool.
