Gillette Sensor 2... they didn't have any Bics at the store:shrug:

I'm not pulling my sub out of the tub so I need a way to easily work around the pins while harvesting.

I don't know what you guys all use to harvest.... but if you are finding it is awkward or time consuming I highly recommend making something like this.

I only upload photos from my phone. It opens my picture library when I click "upload photos"
Or you could email yourself the photos from your phone and upload t your comp first.

That razor thing is perfect. My exacto is getting shit all over it from using it for that and I only have one for sterile work and harvesting. Making one of those :super:

I take all my pictures with my phone and quickly upload them to my computer before uploading them to the site.  There's an app for that.

If you have a smart-phone you need this app:

http://www.webpcsuite.com/

download the app on your phone.  You open the app you open the website on the computer.
Then you point the camera on the phone at the scanner and your phone and computer will sync up.
You can now easily navigate the files on your phone from your computer and bring them onto your computer. It's so easy.

As far as reusing plates goes, regular petris are easily cleaned in a bleach soak before drying in a flowhood and using immediately.

I'm been harvesting a multipore tub over the past couple of days and thought of this tool.  Knives are clumsy and too thick to easily glide through a stem. Twist and pull makes a mess that you have to clean up before dehydrating.

Quick little DIY project here.  It took 5 minutes to make and it works so wonderfully.  The super thin blade glides through the stem and the angled handle lets you get into the tub and harvest around the still maturing fruits.

I roughed the surface on the plastic and used 5 minute setting two part epoxy glue.  In case you can't already tell, the handle and blade are from a cheap disposable razor(Gillette Sensor 2)

They call that a tamohawk in jail...

After its done uploading it will redirect you to a preview image of what you just uploaded with a BBC code under it, copy and paste that BBC code for your image to appear...

Additions for my indoor greenhouse- going to duct one into a 5gal bucket with the pond fogger at the bottom then duct it up through the top of the GH then have the other fan as exhaust on the bottom. Found a pretty good old thread describing it- keeps rh and FAE high as well as expel spore loads.

That's really cool.  Do you run any of that on a timer or does it just run 24/7.  I just looked up pond fogger  :mindblown:

I wonder if installing a cheap hepa filter(non-laminar) to the lid of the bucket would help in any way with contamination, although I also read that contams usually results from bad spawn or improper pasteurization so maybe it's not going to change contam rate.

I like the 5gallon reservoir idea because you won't have to top it off too often.  I may be wrong but it is probably a good idea to only use distilled or RO water to prevent the fogger from getting dirty.  I only use RO water in my humidifiers personally.

Sale on ziplock qt sized, 2 for 4$ so a buck each. Snagged 14 so enough for 2 PC cycles

Actually pumped because they are usually more than that for 1 and I've been trying to find them and I just happened to stumble on them on sale.

Yeah don't really need the hepa due to them already being fully colonized when they go in.

And yeah I have the fogger on 15 on 15 off but the fans will be constant (but on dimmers to tweak) once installed.

Another cool thing about the 5 gal is it acts as a condensation chamber as well.

Ah yea, that sounds perfect.  Thanks for the ideas! if I do decide to make a GH I have a rough idea of how to do it now.
