 Bible verse about suffering of innocents

I read I verse from the bible (prolly was here) where someone asked god why the innocent good people suffer and he basically responded who are you to question the allmighty. If someone could find the part I'm talkin about, I'd greatly appreciate it.

the bible has a lot of stupid things in it
I don't know the passage, but there is a quote about how all man's knowledge is foolishness in comparison to god. Fuck that. I like the technological advances of mankind. The bible was the "truth" 2000 years ago, but it's time to evolve our ideas and get past this arcane crap

This passage always made me a doubter of the whole "loving god" thing...
