what do ya'll think about this "judgement" ??
    #2128824 -

so yeah I've know this question has been asked before,, and I may have dedicated many posts to this topic, but I have another question for all of you?

I see a lot of talk of judgement, and with a recent post/conversation I had a realization (with the other person's guidance of course) about how often we actually make these calls. so then it appeared to me that a big part of our life is about making these judgement. something seemed a little wrong though, as I thought deeper about it. then I thought, hey, isn't it the emphasis that we put on the judgement that matters?

we judge for sure, because after all it is hella quick, but the emotions our ego puts on the judgement is what matters most. if I can see a negative thought jsut as a judgement and recognize it as that, then it's easier to jsut let it pass. i still had the negative thought, but I didn't dwell on it as long as I could have.

what do you think???

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

If you want peace of mind it is better to let as many things pass as possible. Just don't use it as an excuse for having no balls.

To not judge is to not observe and evaluate. What we musn't do is make premature judgements. We must truly know before we judge, and after we have judged, we must not condemn, because everyone here makes mistakes and is capable of wrongdoing. But we must always allow everyone as many chances as they need to change so that hopefully we may re-judge them positively.

McDonald's, on the other hand, should burn in hell for all eternity for luring children to eat their poisonous slop

A little condemnation won't hurt, right?

Indeed.

Myself, I think it is important to make and store observations of what is going on around us. After we pull in all this information involving a certain thing, say like the personality, we eventually make a judgement.

I think it is important to make judgements. The difference is like how much we put into making a judgement, and how much we will hold on to them. Some people do not make good judgements, say, judging one black man based on the actions they observed of another.

We make judgements because they help us along the path. I feel that a judgement made should not be held too strongly and should be flexible, extremely flexible. People change, Time changes things. The more flexible our mind is, the easier it is for us to flow with change, which is inevitable.
Peace.

I'd agree with everything said here. I pretty much gave up on forming first impressions (sure, they still occur), because they have been wrong almost always. But I can say that there are many people I have encountered in this life that are ABSOLUTE PIECES OF SHIT.

At this point many people would be quick to say that I am using judgement and that the people I judge are not better than me.

So? Just because I'm not perfect doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on someone else.

Rush hour french fries at mcdonalds are the worst POS in the world. First off all they are taken out of a -20 C? freezer and wait about 30 minutes to go inside the oil bins, most of them start to to heat up while waiting.
Secondly, the oil bins have a too low temperature because of the constant heating of frozen fries, sometimes they keep working with the oil at 170 C? or lower for 5 minutes, instead of 184 C? for 3.50 minutes, this produces a whitish stick of pure fat.
Also, the vegetable fat they use as oil deteriorates very quickly if exposed at constant temperature fluctuations, it's very cheap though.
Ten years ago, when i was younger and not so responsible, i worked at Mcdonalds for 1 and a half year. Sometimes i do go to the devils house, to eat some mcchicken or to try their new stuff, but i know the procedures and sometimes i do see wrong stuff being made while they work under stress.
All this to say that i don't eat french fries at mcdonals.
