@monkeyguts:
you don't need a book man, all you need to know, and will ever need to know about cultivation is on this forum. The rest is experience... I successfully cultivated cubensis and panaeolus cyanescens with the information I found here.
But yeah, books are nice, you can never have enough of them :smile:

@kyoto:

Ah, a fellow Belgian! I'm curious to hear in which region you found them... proficiat!

This is my first season that i'm actively hunting and actually finding something.
I got a nice field or 2 where they grow , it's waiting for colder weather now...
I also might've found some cyans but didn't pick any and couldn't take pics.
i'll go back tomorrow to make pics and pick a few.

nice :laugh: so you found them all in nearly one cluster? maybe the field is fertilized except some edges ^^ try to give the field a closer look maybe you´ll find some more :wink: just can imagine hard that it is to dry anywhere atm.
good luck for your next hunts :biggrin:!

This field seemed abandoned for the most part. It was mostly wild grass and some other plants. It was kinda in a bad spot for any farming. I did check the field before and after I found them, but the grass was extremely tall and dense and I found only one mushroom (not a lib) in the other parts of it. I just lucked out because that one little patch had libs poking out all over the place. I will try to get a photo of the area the next time I am out there.

iam sure you would be able to find more there but its very hard to search them in high grass :wink: but you will get an eye for that too ^^

Great haul! Was this picked prior to the freeze, or after?

Cause we had a few nights below zero and a little snow as
well here in Norway, but the next weeks are going to be more
like 10 degrees and a lot of rain. Not very optimistic, but it
would surely be nice to see some more fruits out and about.

Haha :biggrin: iam glat that you like the pics LK, i think after your storm over there you should be able to find also massive hauls :awesomenod:

And those at the beginning, including the big cluster, where picked before freeze and the last haul at the end was collected in the snow at -0.5°C :laugh: so i a little drop below zero just pushes them in my opinion. i think you should give your fields a look, you also saw how long the season here was last year, and it was snowing and freezing a bit too :grin:

Apparently my area hit -6 degrees Celsius one night and -7 degrees Celsius the next. I'm struggling to find anything now :frown: I don't know if the season is dead for me now but I'm not optimistic. Are any of the other German dwellers having any success now?

you know fux, I was doing some research and figured out some of the old hunting grounds for German Kahuna down in Weisbaden near Franfurt airport, there's some pretty obvious locations marking where he used to go..like a cemetery where a famous composer is buried..and I have the name of the cemetery.. You think if we went down there , we might find some lucky cultivated spots? not to ever raid one of his..that's not what I meant, but he might have left some clues to some very productive hunting spots for woodlovers..yes?
