Jesus had a little lamb * 1

And it was white as snow

Everywhere that Jesus went

The lamb was sure to go.

Do not forget that Jesus died on the Cross for your sins this is the ultimate sacrifice

Isn't it funny how the first published material about jesus was 40 years after his alleged death? You'd think a guy with that much influence would be all over texts from the year 0.

Now Jesus still lives on and on,

Searching for more sheep,

To bring them to his father's home,

to add them to his keep,

So if you're lost and down and out,

and can't make sense of it all,

call out to Jesus the lamb of God,

cause he's the Lord Of All

I tried, didn't seem to work.

Apparently is isn't working for the thousands of children who die every day from lack of clean drinking water, either.  Most of those will be going to hell by Jesus's orders, unfortunately.  Oh well.

Hello johnm214

I can't speak for anyone else but i can honestly say to you that for me, he has.

As you may remember, i said before that i don't know everything about God or the Bible. but i say the following statement with all my heart;

The message of the Bible gives me hope, a hope i find in nothing else.

And i wait earnestly with this hope that Jesus will one day return and save me from the trashcan i find myself in.

Concerning the children that die from preventable problems. I don't believe God sends these children to hell. Do you say this because they haven't heard of Jesus? or cause of their suffering? Which Bible verse are your referring to please?

If you honestly gave God a real chance, and he didn't answer you or reveal himself to you in anyway?

Then i don't know why?

But i do believe in a just God, and that the day is coming where God will show without doubt that he is real to this world.

I believe this day is coming.

You know this is probably just a psychological trick you are playing on yourself to comfort yourself about your mortality? This is why any faith works at comforting someone. A hindu would say the same thing you're saying, but just replace Jesus with Krishna. A Muslim would say Allah, a Buddhist, Buddha. All the same thing in the end. Read Ernest Becker's Denial of Death for more info.

Equating your life to a trashcan makes me feel like no miracles are happening  in your life, and you are just scared and alone in this crazy world, so you're clinging to a story to comfort yourself. If you actually thought God was good, why would you be in a trashcan? I'm not judging here, we all do crazy things to get by. But if you ever have doubts about your faith, and actually want to talk about it, here is probably the best place.

After which, he was rewarded with immortality in paradise. Worse things have happened to people.

Judas was the real hero of the story. He had to give up Jesus for the good of all, and what did he get? Eternal pain and suffering.

I hope you guys don't mind I'm cross posting this from another thread on Jesus:

I haven't read through the responses in this thread, but Christianity is more complex and philosophical than you are lead to believe in this modern age of arena-sized churchs and money-scamming preachers, and world-wide, pedophile-filled Church organizations.  That stuff is bullshit and artificial.  They have been taken out of the All One mystical experience of KNOWING that you are the spirit and the divine. Jesus taught this.  Modern day fucktards take everything so literally.  Obsessed with the word, obsessed with the material (which is odd because they are so concerned with the idea of "Faith"), obsessed with being a member of a group, and actually hating on inward spiritual experiences (WHICH IS THE GOD DAMMED POINT).

Why are they taken out of the godly experience of being one with the Lord, the All One, the universe?? Why is there a separation? Drink the wine/blood of Christ! They are afraid because they will become obliterated by the Truth.

His philosophy has been bastardized and turned into social order.  Jesus fought against the social order.  He was a rebel to the Roman Empire and to the Jewish order.  You all have been lied to, "believers" and non-believers.

Ana'l Haqq, Ana'l Haqq, said Mansoor Al-Hallaj, "I am the Truth, I am the Truth" (Al Haqq is one of the 99 names of Allah).  He was killed for that.  Put to death for being a heretic to the social order complex of Islam.  Jesus was put to death for the same reason.  Son of God, doesn't mean literal flesh son to a father.  "Son of" just meant a part of, or "coming from."  Jesus has the spirit, the divine, He was God.  And so are you. Buddah experienced the same thing. Sat Chit Ananda. "Existence consciousness bliss."

Sorry for my ramblings.  I'm not even sure I believe in them or not.  Just take this as warning that things aren't what they seem.  History has been altered for the benefit of a dark world. Experience the One within yourself.  Church and modern day rituals of Christianity won't get you to that state. But don't dismiss the lessons and the parables, they were written for YOU to understand, not them.

Peace.

It seems silly to capitalize the word truth.

Truth is more true than the truth but less true than the TRUTH. Have you ever said a word so many times it started to lose all meaning?

Because they haven't heard of Jesus.  Jesus says that most will go to hell:  "Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it"  Matt 7:14

He says you are saved by faith, which these children don't have  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God Eph 2:8

If you aren't saved by faith, you go to hell:  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [...]
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
  John 3:18,36

Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake – some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence Dan 12:2

Yes, I gave 'god' a chance, as well as christianity, and prayed on my knees and all that, including while I was reading through the bible.  Apparently god isn't too charitable- back in the day he did miracles on every corner and would appear to you to let you know he exists.  Now, not so much.  And unlike Paul, I'm not a terrible bastard, yet even he got a personal audience with ghost jesus.

As for why I didn't get an answer or any revelation, I have my suspicions its because the bible and christianity is wrong.

Oh, good.  I guess I can stop worryinga bout it then.  I'll believe when jesus shows up, and who cares in the meantime?  Kinda defeats the whole point of Jesus's ministry, but whatever.

You seem to be making things up as you go along- the god depcited in the bible is anything but just.

John Lennon's "Let it be" comes to my mind, "There will be an answer.."

My ego gets in the way of letting it be, and then I'm a candidate for 'forgiveness'. But then, like Gandhi, Lennon got shot.

There is truth in Jesus

Why?

Not many beings could have such a high power level that even under torture being able to find the power to forgive, he let himself be killed, and he did it for us so we could be forgiven to, just as those monkey brothers of ours were forgiven even after probing him with spears and lemon juice to salt the wounds.

The power to forgive yourself at anytime willingly is a very real power that strips all that mud like gunk attaching itself to your core , you know that type of gunk right? its like mold it breeds and before you know it an entire nest has formed where you once were.

so really some people need a middle man to forgive themselves others can just forgive themselves either-way THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS IS REAL THAT'S THE POINT WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT JESUS HE COULD BE A CLOWN AND IT WOULDST MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Though truly believing that Jesus died on the cross for you, while remaining unable to forgive yourself .. that's the greatest story ever told

I doubt it. The gospels are not from a single eyewitness therefore I am certain the story was spiced up and exaggerated.
