good call.

although, i am reminded of a quote from a person i like.

"when you see that ice cream cone, ask yourself... will it ever be the ETERNAL ice cream cone? the great ice cream cone in the sky? youre just going to eat it, and then youll need some water, then youll drink the water, and then youll get that bloaty feeling, and then lets take a walk, and then you go for a walk, and you get tired, but then you are hungry again..."

or something likes that.

will it ever be the eternal ice cream cone?

peace

I would never want the "eternal ice cream cone". I mean, I'ld like to get hungry again so I'll have room for the triple chocolate swirl, and then next time the strawberry m&m cone. You know? Life is all about cycles, don't get hung up in the idea that desire is a bad thing, because it isn't. The bad thing is misguided, unchecked, irresponsible comsumption. But we're getting off the subject. Being comfortable with yourself just takes time and experience really. There's no quick fix here. Just be open to life, and evetually you'll be comfortable with yourself.

eeek.
i sometimes 90% crazy with nervousness, paranoia, ect, ect.

if you really want to be comfortable with yourselve all you have to do is learn to relax your body.
tai chi/yoga/hypnosis/massage/whatever.

if you can learn to keep your body relaxed you'll find that it suddenly turns the volume way down on any bad feelings about yourself, and usually about things in general.

a quick story. a friend of mine is a hardcore taoist. a while back some drunken stranger randomly punched him in the face without saying anything to him to illustrate a point to his (the stranger's) friend. my friend was overjoyed immediately afterwards because he learned his tai chi had progressed to the point where he could get punched in the face without it effecting his relaxed, centered state.

How does one be comfortable with themself? By being comfortable with themself. If you understand what being comfortable with yourself is, if you know how it would feel to be "comfortable with yourself", and you honestly desire to be "comfortable with yourself", then you must see how, in this exact fuckin' minute, you either are comfortable with yourself, or you are not.

It basically is that simple. If you feel insecure, then you are afraid of something. Your mental programming is producing negative feelings, fear, insecurity, because something about yourself or the situations you are in doesn't fit said mental programming.

What do you expect from the world? From yourself? What do you consider you "need" to be happy, fufilled, comfortable? If you are plauged with insecurity, something that you expect is not coming to be. I don't know you or your mind, so I don't know exactly what is triggering the negative emotions. You need to start observing your thoughts and your actions. You need to really discover who you are, what you do, and most importantly, why you do it and why you are who you are.

This revolves around changing a state of being. Going from insecurity to security is entirely an inner process. We aren't exactly brought up to understand the way our mind works and how to change, grow, and evolve, not a lot of people at all understand it, even though it isn't all that difficult.

Something is seperating you from the here and nowness of the moment.... If one doesn't fully accept every facet of every moment, then that person is seperated from reality. If you have access to a computer and the internet, then I surmise your immediate survival isn't threatened.... and if it isn't? Then there is absoultely no problem, you are entirely free to fully enjoy life without feeling insecure or seperated.

first of all i'd like to say i totaly agree with fireworks god...
the problame is finding out exectly what you want out of every situation... that's not so easy... you have to be very tuned to yr self!

also i'd like to post this quote from "Waking Life" (i happen to agree with it having expirianced it my self... not that i'm "inlightend" as you say but i'm diffrent for sure!)

"If the world that we are forced to accept is false, and nothing is true, then everything is possible.
On the way to discovering what we love, we will find everything we hate, everything that blocks our path and what we desire."

oh and... being relaxed does have alot to do with the stuff that goes on in yr head! meditation helps the body get rid of all the stress yr uncontiuse inflicts on you all the time...

good luck and "take it easy"
