If you quit you will not get unemployment. The unemployment case worker may not give you anything because you were (are suspected of) stealing. Your past employers do not have to say anything about you except that you worked there between two set periods of times. Most jobs you are applying for will ask past employers for time verification and whether or not they would hire you back. Again they do not have to say anything but if somebody stole from me I would tell all regardless or whether you quit or were fired. I would leave the job off future applications get fired then collect unemployment if you were wrongfully fired. If you did steal then you got what you deserved welcome to life.

IN regards to applying to another job, yes, you could say you quit. Others have mentioned Unemployment -- you're not eligible for this if you quit (without extenuating circumstances) or are fired (for a justifiable reason, at least.)

Good for you.  I'd do the same thing.  Companies like that use up employees and just replace em when they quit, or cant stand it anymore...Theres always an unemployed sap who needs any money, and will do any job regardless he isn't getting out of it what he puts in.

Right on, you should keep taking money until they fire you,  because it doesn't have your face on camera, and so no legal charges could be filed.  Then just dont mention them ever on your resume, get some other job...doesn't seem like you could get a much crapier one...

Business' dont care about you, and you shouldn't them...unless its a small company, or family business...im talking about those big factories that make you do back breaking labour all day for minimum wage. :mad:

Yes, however, it doesn't really matter. When calling for a reference people typically ask, 'is this person eligible for re-hire?', an answer of 'no' is quite telling.

If they have substantiative proof you will be contacted by your local 'law enforcement agency'. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter does it?

In life you always have opportunities to learn and grow. If you did steal from your employer you should feel a measure of shame. You are the type of person who cause price increases in products, insurance, etc., etc. You mention that you worked until 'y' time but they only paid you until 'x' time. That was your choice. You were not forced to work. Choice is a wonderful thing, use it.
