Deer park finds (part one)

Gills:
Brown

Stem:
Dark Brown/Black







Number 2

Habitat:
Deer park

Gills:
Brown but quite hollow

The cap has faded in colour since taking the picture of it.



Number 3

Habitat:
Deer park

Gills:
Cream colour

Stem:
quite thick

Looks a bit like a fried egg on top.

Gills:
Orange/Brown, looks inside-out

Stem: thick

cream colour

I managed to find loads more different types of mushrooms, I'll make a post about them later.

By a habitat of Deer Park do you mean they were growing in a park full of deer, or one of the cities named Deer Park (in TX, NY, etc.)?

A park with deer roaming around freely, I was at the patch where they hang out.

What kind of trees were around? Plants? Grass or wood chips? Also what region are you in?

Those are the kind of habitat questions we are looking for. Personally I can't help you with an ID but I'm sure whoever can would have an easier time knowing those things, since your pictures are not that great.

Those are much better pictures! One suggestion I may add is to put pics of the mushrooms unpicked in their habitat next to the pics of them after being picked, if you've got them. Makes ID a little easier.

Thanks, I know that my photography skills need alot of improving.

Most of the general pictures were taken at the top of the hill in the wooded bit, I don't know much about the type of tree I'm afraid, but I can find out quite easily.

Another thing I might do is upload higher quality versions of the images to my own webspace and link them. I see what you mean about taking pictures in the habitat as well, good point.

The pictures were taken in Cheshire, North West England.
