The idea of the perfected man. That the focus of the evolutionary process is directed toward humanity. This is our conflict with death anxiety and the cause of much suffering in the world. We cannot come to grips with our "dark" side, our animalness, what we really are. So we pretend we can transcend what we are and what will happen to all in the end. From this comes war, religion and the personal power grab in all it's many guises.

IMO of course. Course I'm just touching on this subject. But maybe it's enough for now.
