this is what sanislav grof talks about in 'holotropic mind', transpersonal experiences that feel entirely genuine. (i know you're a fan of grof wiccan :wink:)

on a 2c-t-2 trip this spring i had an experience which genuinely felt like i experienced being born as an infant. it was full out terror and the part i remember most was when my own hands wiped tears from my face. i knew it was my own hands but at the same time the experience was telling me this was my mothers hands. i was at once the infant feeling the terror of being exposed to the world, while also being my mother soothing the crying baby.

at the time i was studying early development in summer school, so i think perhaps studying the birth process for weeks on end in class might have triggered the unraveling of my mental constellation that grouped around this experience which revealed itself when i took the psychedelic.

after this experience i bought 'holotropic mind' and investigated further. there are reports of people experiencing themselves in the womb, even prior to the womb in past lives, exactly like what you mention wiccan. there are even reports of people feeling as though their conciousness is merging with the collective consciousnesses of extinct civilizations, the earth, etc.

there is this one account of a psychologist (i think) who was visting remains of the myan civilization and he was overcome by a transpersonal experience that completely terrified him. he wasn't high on anything- he was merely sensing the vibes of the building he was in. slowly he began to feel suffocated, as if he was becoming a victim of human sacrifice. eventually he had to run out of the building into the open air for fear that this awareness would overcome him and actually kill him. absolutely wild stuff...

the main thing here is that all these people felt their experiences to be entirely REAL. suppsoedly grof has a way of initiating these regressions without the use of psychedelics, i mean that's got to indicate at least something 'other' is going on here eh?

I have read much on the subject because of a near death experience I had.  some things that prove to me that we continue past this physical life.
- robert monroe's books especially the last
- Twenty Cases Suggestive of Reincarnation.  a book/study on children who have scars, memories & verifiable connection to past people.
- my own personal experience of thinking without a brain & body from a removed location
- michael talbot's book 'the holographic universe' covers the science that shows a much better understanding of the nature of our universe.  a great read without being too nerdy.

wow! thanks for sharing this amazing and very moving story!

about regression therapy resulting in PLR: I've read about it having been successful with hypnosis, both with and without the aid of LSD. has anyone read about any risks of amateur atempts at peer hypnosis (+LSD) for for instance PLR?
I read about this shrink doing PLR-research (in Talbot's THU) teaching test subjects to initiate themselves (and experiments were made where they hypnotised eachother, being able to join the same "hallucinated" setting (ie. a beach) having the trip totally shared, being the sole two creators and inhabitants of that world :U).

That was a moving story, ive had insights about the mechanics of reincarnation loads of times but never had the experience of seeing the previous lives of my individual soul

Its amazing how the desires of our past lives determine when & where we are reborn, how the momentum of the mind stream flows on into another body...

both tripping and sober i have had moments when i suddenly remembered things that never happened to me.

Both in the past and the future.  on short and long time scales.

completely realistic memories, other selves or same self.

i don't know what the fuck it is.  i'm not sure i would call it past life or future life though.

usually i call it false memories, easiest ways to explain.
