Cops have been nothing but friendly to me since I got my locks.

I think cops are going to give the wigger with his pants around his knees talking like a thug wearing a sideways hat more trouble than the harmless looking smiling dude with dreadlocks.

It's the people who are dirty not really the dreads.  One kid actually believed that you can't wash your dreads or your hair will fall out   You can wash em you just gotta do it right!

Waxing, crocheting, and pre-dread perms are silly and

Yes, because ripping your hair apart is good for it. The reason non-petroleum based wax is used is because its really sticky.. helps your hair knot up.

I imagine some 'natural' locks look alright, but the majority I've seen have terribly uneven and 'bumpy' and have hair from all over the place in them. Before I finally did my hair properly, I tried to do it naturally and because I was tearing my knots apart I often ended up with massive knots attached to me scalp by a few strands of hair (in the end I had to cut my hair and wait another couple of years).

White boy dreads all pale in comparison to black man dreads, though .

my head never saw no wax in years, there is simply no need for it AT ALL, seriously,
i did dreads to people and none of them either used any wax ever and all their dreads were fine,
even after years, like mine.

still, even though i had dreads for many years, i guess i wont ever have them again,
those times passed
