Should I shave my dreads off?

Ive had dreadlocks for 8 years. I love them to the moon and back.
But recently Ive become less than thrilled with the spacing of them. When I first had them done the lady who did them followed a "natural hair line" which left me with roughly 8 more dreads on one side of my head. This plus the fact my dreads seem to have stopped growing and are only getting shorter due to me nervously playing with them all the time leads me to want to cut em off.
It really would be only temporary. I would immediately start growing my hair out again to re-dread it in a years time or so. This time I would dread my hair myself.
Alternatively, I figure out how to revitalize my current dreads. Id need to promote growing, fix split/dead ends/ and work all the frizzies back in...
Seems easier to cut and regrow.

I dont fancy any other hairstyle at all. Dreads are my alltime favourite.

see if you can find a place to give some sort of treatment for your head/dreads.
there are also vitamins you can take that help with hair strength and growth.
as for the poor space is it possible to separate dreads? like a large dread into two smaller ones?
I'm currently growing my hair out to grow dreads. you should post a picture of what you mean by the spacing

Most white guys ive seen with dreads look pretty gross and unkempt. Cut that shit!

Yeah I'd agree if you like dreads. If something bothers you in life, change it for the better. I had 3 sets of dreads over the years and was never happy with my dreaded bangs. The last time I had dreads I kept the bangs un dreaded and was a lot happier with them.

Propensity should photoshop you without your dreads to see of you would still be acceptable looking.

My dog would eat the shit out of my dreads if I ever grew them again. I have never heard of this but seems like it would be more common. Dogs love old rancid shit.

I removed all my friends hair using photoshop since he was concerned about his receding hairline. Turns out he will be just as good looking without hair.

Dude ive always wondered what I'd look like bald. I have a funny shapes head so I don't really see it working out. Thankfully my hair hasn't started thinning yet

If you don't like the spacing on the sides you could do a mullet or a Mohawk or a rat tail at first ,dreads mullets are fuckin badass I kept mine like 2 years, you can start wearing normal hats and stuff , and it kinds help you go throught the process of shaving since your already half way.
It really sucks to cut our dreadlocks , feels sad man Re growing it is long as fck, plus the time for the dreads to be nice .. Nothing is more badass then fuckin long dreadlocks..
But it can be nice to a have a little refresh, when I cutted my dreads 6 months ago I bought a shit ton of new patches and some new clothes, it was a nice start over .
But anyway whatever you do ,know that you will still be the same in your heart If you do shave I hope you get to grow new ones . I my self planing on doing a dread Mohawk when my hair will be long enough

The Choice of Love is the right choice. The choice of fear is the wrong choice. Discern which is which and act accordingly.

I disagree. Sometimes fear is the right choice.
Like if a bear is chasing you, love probably won't save your ass. But fear will. You go ahead and try and hug it out with a grizzly bear. I'm totally okay with fear and running.
I know it's not what you meant but still. Fear isn't all bad. Fear is necessary. It makes you function at a higher level.
