nope, not cheaper.  easier.

i cant sympathize with her. if she wasnt prepared to do everything it takes to offer her kids a healthy and happy lifestyle, then she either shouldnt have had so many, or none at all.  there is no excuse in that sense in my eyes.

and i agree, which is why i plan on having kids. i know i have the drive to offer them a healthy life.  i dont care how busy work and life is for you, it takes you 10 mins to prep a delicious and simple dinner, 20-40 mins to cook generally unattended.  theres no reason why you cant do that for your kids. and after a certain age you can get them to HELP you with cooking and cleanup of dinner.

im not perfect, but im not about to slack in the name of convenience on my kids.

*ahem* i said cheap-and-easy junk = cheaper than easy non-junk]

And how do you know she didn't have a better life with better plans at some point?  For all you know, she could have had a fantastic husband who helped pay the bills and helped raise her kids, and then one day he wasn't there anymore for whatever reason.

I had to kick my ex husband out of my house, and in the same week, I got laid off.  I went from a 2-parent-2-income household to being a single parent with half of one income. In a state that was on the other side of the country from all my friends and family, so I had NO support system. I know first hand how hard it can be to do this (and do it right) by yourself.

And I will admit that there were days I just wanted to curl up and die until the next day when it would be better.  But that's not what I do.

Anyway, this is why I can sympathize. I didn't say this is why I can agree with the bad choice to feed your kids junk cuz it's easier.

About the garden thing, I have never lived in an apartment where you could have a garden. But then.. I've spent a lot of time in the ghetto.

RE: Fat people being in shape.

I have loads of muscles under my squish.

In fact, I could probably crack a man's ribs with my legs. When I flex muh toes, my calves are rock hard.  That's right. Rock hard. lol
It takes a lot of horsepower to carry my upper half around. =o P

I just wish I was doin' more to help other single parents get THEIR shit together. And I think society as a whole needs to have a little more understanding.
