freaking migranes

2 beers... only two- and I have a splitting headache today... it will last all day and unless I take something prescription it won't go away... and even painkillers just mask them until I can sleep it off.

WTF... I guess I just can't drink anymore. It happens with all types of alcohol too... even if I have a glass of wine. suck

anyone know what may be causing them? Is there like a vitamin deficiency or something... I take a multi vitamin so I would think that was enough. I drink water everyday and workout daily too... I am pretty healthy and a vegetarian... these headaches are ridiculous.

Drink a large glass (or two) of water immediately after you finish drinking for the night and see if that helps. Always worked wonders for me...

I already do that- along with 2 tylenol & a vitamin... still not working :frown:

I don't know,, migraines are thought to be caused by constricting blood vessels.
Alcohol's known to dilate blood vessels, i'm not sure what happens to them the day after but with the amounts your drinking it shouldn't be a problem.

High blood pressure can cause headaches too, and high blood pressure can be a problem for as long as 7 months after a pregnancy..
I know alcohol causes a rise in blood pressure the day after,, but then again at the amounts your drinking that shouldn't be a problem either. Unless you are sensitive to it's effects...

Some foods and drinks cause migraines in some people, red wine and coffee are a couple of them..

The best natural medicine i know for migraines is 'feverfew', that's a plant that grows everywhere where i live.
I'm not sure how easy it'd be for you to get your hands on some...
My mom uses it alot when other OTC medicines arn't working..

Hope you feel better soon,,, headaches suck..
