someone:

I had a crash on one of my computers and the tech sais that the folding program was spyware and allowed my network to be compromised.

I told him its not so and he insits...anyone heard of this?

goob: Well i know for sure FAH is not spyware.  I doubt it would open up any vulnerabilities, but you can always configure your firewall/router to only let FAH thru specificaly.

We're back!  So you raced up the ladder ahead of us.  That's OK.  We spent the time building up a little more steam, and now we are ready to take you on again. :smile:  At the moment we are sitting in #94, and we are currently in a race with Team Phoenix Rising (currently #96) to take 90th place.  However, as things seemed to have worked out, we'll almost be overtaking you to get into 90th place.  I think it'd just be icing on the cake for when you passed us all those months ago.

Anyways, best of luck with the Folding, and hopefully we'll see you higher up the ladder somewhere. :wink:

Does the Autoservice installer use FireDaemon? I could make/help you make a kick ass one, from way back in my hacking days i learned a few way to install services quick and easy :smile:

BTW everyone I have joined the [Email]Folding@home[/Email] team!! I hope us together can really kick some ass and perhaps make a discovery that will help the human race!!

It uses srvany.exe but it's kind of outdated unfortunately. The code's GPL so I encourage you to update it!

The [Email]Folding@home[/Email] project has been making some exciting advances lately, introducing new types of work units and preparing a version of the client which can use newer video cards to speed up processing. It's a great time to join!
