Some of the stat pages take a while to update... give it a day or two and check again, you will be there...

Yeah after I posted that I realized that the page said it hadn't been updated since 3 o clock and I finished my first packet at 3:27, I checked back later and I was on the list of new memebers.

There are so many good distributed computing causes. It is hard to decide which one to join up.

I signed up yesterday. Today, I looked at the Folding@Home Display, and it shows that the team number is 12679. However, when I click on my name (Frog), it takes me to a page that shows that I belong to team "Rage3D". None of the names on that team's page look like anyone who belongs to the Shroomery.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up recently! It's great to see so many people helping out this worthy cause, we'll be breaking 25,000 work units soon!

Frog, I'm guessing someone else is using the same nickname to submit results for the Rage3D team... FAH doesn't password protect accounts so it's possible to share a nick with another person. Your results are still being received though, thank you!

I signed up on 12/28/04 and have left my computer running the entire time but to date I've only completed 45.75% of one WU. Is this kind of slow or is it normal? My computer is a 1 GHz PowerPC G4 iMac with 1 GB DDR SDRAM running Mac OS X 10.3.7, any way to make it fold faster?

Some work units take longer to complete than others, that's definitely slower than average but it doesn't necessarily mean you have a problem. Make sure you're running the text console or graphical client instead of the screensaver, other than that there probably isn't much you can do to speed it up. Your next work unit will probably go faster, also you get more points for completing slower work units.

Thanks for joining the team!
