slimeshine is the electricity that would be conducted on moist mucopolysaccharides.

I am pretty much convinced that much more of the thinking part of us is mucoid than we would care to know.

worm becomes my favorite metaphor for self - really tubular

Oooh, tubs full of electrified, slimy grey matter!  Sounds like a fascinating Sci-Fi movie.  How many brains (at 3 lbs each) would it take to fill an old-fashioned, clawfoot bathtub?  Maybe if we put our heads together, we can figure this out.

Not just grey, but it's the connections in the grey matter that matter.

the waves in the goo may matter more than the connections in the goo
the connections suggest responses that the waves may trigger
the responses make more waves.

the gooey matters most when waving

Certainly it does.  Once we wave "goodbye," the goo is just goo.  But without the connections, the waves are much less complex.  The more the merrier, on the cellular level.  C'mon in, the goo is fine.

When the wave is a mere splash in a bathtub, it does not dream of becoming a tidal force, but the splashes build as the tub widens.

Oh, it didn't wander as far off-topic as it seems.

After all, what transmits our perception of negativity or positivity?  That electrically-charged goo between our ears.
