Psilocybin Crystals?

Would it work if i were to soak mushrooms in 80% water 20% alchol solution for 36 hours and then added salt to the mixture and allowed the salt to form crystals, would this be freebase psilocybin or do i need more complicated and harder to obtain chemicals to acheive this? plz dont give me the link to errowid as i have read it and it makes no sence.

This would dissolve the Psilocybin

This doesnt work because the Manske reaction to extract Syrian Rue (which gave you this idea to begin with) works by extracting harm(al)ine as their acetates and then adding salts for metathesis, depositing harm(al)ine hydrochloride which is insol in salt solutions.
This does not work for Psilocybin.

There's no such thing as Freebase Psilocybin because it forms a salt with itself, a reaction between the phosphoric acid with which the psilocin is estrified and the aliphatic amine.

With Erowid it is often that people cannot make sense of it, but that it actually does make sense for those who understand.

But seriously, usually Erowid has the answers, but extractions and other chemical procedures aren't always equally clear.

I wasn't grumpy, just in a hurry!

ok well if i were to take liqour. say rum or somethin like that. and let the mush soak in that for a day and then let it evaporate and then put the small amount of liquid that should be left into gel caps, that would work wouldnt it? im basically just lookin for a way were i can get the effects without eatin the mush..i hate the tatse, and i dont like swallowing pill after pill after pill, so if i only had to swallow like one or two of this concentrated solution that would be cool. The only reason the errowid thing dont make sence to me is cuz i dont know much of those chemicals. Do you think you could get most of those chemicals from a highschool chem lab? how else could you get the chemicals to make crystal psilocybin?

The taste isn't that bad, if you relly hate it make chocolates.
Using chems from your school lab to make drugs usually isn't a good idea

You're thinking too complicated.

--Grind up your dried mushrooms.
--Add a REALLY SMALL portion (lets say 0.5-1 gram) to a shotglass filled with pure cold lemonjuice.
--Steep for 15 minutes.
--Slosh it down and follow it up with a quarter glass of water.

You will get way higher and need no chemicals, plus the lemon juice will overpower the taste.

Sorry, I don't think that will work. Just like sliced apples turn brown, psilocybin oxidises in solution, especially with heat or lack of acidity. Your psilocybin will likely degrade in the process.

But grow your own shrooms and DO experiment because we all want to know a good way for doing that.

If the crystals are in a alcolholic/acidic solution in a freezer wouldn't that feasible?

What I don't understand is............

Why do Richard Alpert and Timothy Leary talk about dosing psilocybin crystal when you guys say their is no extraction TEK for it? Or is their one and is just extremely complicated?

Actually, Psilocybin is a pretty stable chemical. Psilocin, on the other hand, will break down if a fly buzzes to close to a mushroom.

A crude extraction can be made by cookng the shrooms in water then evaporating the left over water.
The result will be a very sticky psilo-caramel; basically decomposed fructose and psilocybin.

They talk about a synthetic psilocybin(Meaning someone made it in a lab).

How is it evapped?
Will potency be left intact?
What's the dry shroom/extract ratio?

I don't know the technical stuff, but i do know that the caramel left from evaporating shroom tea (i did it in a dehydrator) is active.
The potency drops significantly, and the effects of the psilo-caramel are heady at best.
I would not recommend this method of extraction.

Or, um, rather: I don't want you to get involved with chemicals like that. You give me the impression that your knowledge falls far short of what is needed, but that you may carry it out nontheless.

You are putting yourself in danger and your product is bound to be impure. Don't do it.

If you are really sure you want crystalline psilocybin then you must powder dried shrooms, extract with 95%/190 proof alcohol bought in the liquorstore, suitable for consumption, then evaporate that alcohol with a fan in the open air.
The product formed will be 25-50% pure Psilocybin, which can be purified by recrystallisation from boiling ethanol.
