Greatness = senseless killing? Only in the minds of the unevolved.

Senseless? The only reason for needed for death is that it profits us; if we gain something from the deaths of others, or if their deaths come about from an action that profits us, then it is a worthy sacrifice on their part for our greatness.

I think there's a well-known term in psychology used to describe this type of detrimental attitude - "psychopathy".

But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

And who is "us"? Is it the government? The wealthy elite who buy politicians' votes? I find it interesting to see self-described individualists here oppose only the socialist form of collectivism, while fully buying into the more violent nationalist/imperialist form of collectivism.

I got some quotes here from someone who shares the exact same sentiments as yourself Ravus. Let me give you a few and see if you know who it is.

"Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live."

"The [political power] should not become a constable of public opinion, but must dominate it. It must not become a servant of the masses, but their master!"

"It must be thoroughly understood that the lost land will never be won back by solemn appeals to the God, nor by hopes in any League of Nations, but only by the force of arms."

"Any alliance whose purpose is not the intention to wage war is senseless and useless"

wow...... "new philosophy of peace?" gee looner how new is this concept we call peace?? its people like you and ravus that help fuel this gung ho war mindset, theres a BIG difference between being overly defensive and overly offensive, people like you worry me, sometimes i really wonder if you believe your psychotic ramblings or if you do it to rustle a few feathers..... im starting to think maybe you are a little crazy. and to our brothers up north, im glad you havent followed in our footsteps. and syncronica: well put. all of these egotistical americans who think our shit is golden and noone can touch us..... theyre gonna shit their pants when someone puts us in our place one of these days, and i can already hear this out of one of the crazy duo's mouths "well if the world wants war with us then fuck em! well nuke every damn country!" <--- real good mindset to strive for and relay to our younger generations, so instead of try to make peace well just blow the ENTIRE human race off the face of the planet. an empire is only as strong as its population..... and maybe im the only one to notice but there is still a shitload of tension between people of all races and political backgrounds, we are many but most fight seperately.

just curious do you have kids or plan on having any looner?

Apparently you aren't aware that our national image affects diplomatic relations, which consequently affects our national security. That is plenty of incentive to maintain a positive image.

I am fully aware of the consequences of countries not liking us. I also do not care. We are never going to be safe until we stop meddling with other countries. Since that is not going to happen, I do not see why we should keep up a fake image. It's time we take this world by the hair and have our way with her.

Extremely intelligent man.

I don't agree with his fascist/ socialist, nationalist or racist viewpoints, but his theories of expansion and survival in an almost Darwinian sense ring very true with me.

Except I do not believe the political power should become a master of the public necessarily; if the public is strong enough to survive and even expand against the government, then let them. Otherwise, let the government expand as it wills, until the citizens realize their own will to power. It could be no other way, whether you live in a democracy or dictatorship; the only natural laws are those of war, so we merely have to wait for the victor to arise to know who was right.

Positive image to who?

Post 9-11 the ideological boundaries that separated the powerful nations of the world were hazy and unsure. But that has all changed now. Europe and the U.S have become diametrically opposed in their views and cultures. Americans have an identity beyond descendants of Europe. The battle lines have been drawn. The major players are as follows.

1.) E.U - stark opposition to all U.S activities but still tries to insert as much influence as they can as they strive to consolidate their power and aim to regain their pecking order as a new, supernation.

2.) China- Enough said.

3.) Middle East/ Islam

4.) Russia

5.) U.S

Then there are tons of smaller players out there that haven't made up their mind, or are too insignificant to mention.
