Reality

It is said that reality is subjective because when we talk of reality we are really talking about perception, perception of reality. When you take for example the ego or delusion of self, this is just an individual perspective from where sensorial input is being processed and interpreted. It is the individualistic and limited nature of singularity, the ego, what makes everything relative and subjective. We all share one reality as we all share one universe, as we all here share the same earth.

I think every human being is living in a different and unique reality. Maybe there is one true reality, but i doubt any one person can honestly say that they experience the true reality. Everything you perceive is phenomenon. You dont see a table, you see light reflecting off of it, you dont hear a guitar string plucked, you sense vibrations of the surrounding media. You have never touched a table, since there were billions of particles between your finger and the actual table.

but psilocyberin, isn't conciousness itself a true reality? an infinite number of experiences can occur within conciousness but conciousness itself can't be anything other than conciousness.

reminded me of my 'forum bio'.. just thought i put in in this context :P
--- Bio: I dont know hwo I am. We humans are a body to send/receive ?consciousness??,the wakeful state differs in every individual and we don't live in the world of reality, we live in the world of how we perceive reality? ---

By our concepts yes, but what if our consciousness was just a perception? We say we exist because we can perceive and have consciousness, but what if the perception we believe we have is simply another perception?
Nothing can be known or communicated. This reality isn't true or false, but just an incomprehensible quandary that people look to fill with delusions and myths.

This was the gist of the notice. It said, "The Guide is definitive. Reality is frequently inaccurate."
This has led to some interesting consequences. For instance, when the Editors of the Guide were sued by the families of those who had died as a result of taking the entry on the planet Traal literally (it said "Ravenous Bugblatter Beasts often make a very good meal for visiting tourists" instead of "Ravenous Bugblatter Beasts often make a very good meal of visiting tourists"), they claimed that the first version of the sentence was more aesthetically pleasing, summoned a qualified poet to testify under oath that beauty was truth, and truth beauty and hoped thereby to prove that the guilty party in this case was Life itself for failing to be either beautiful or true. The judges concurred, and in a moving speech held that Life itself was in contempt of court, and duly confiscated it from all those there present before going off to enjoy a pleasant evening's ultragolf.

Didn't you just say this in another thread?

but to whom or what is the perception? there must be some reality that gives rise to it.

If you were to look at yourself in a mirror, would you say that?s me or would you say that?s a reflection? What I meant was that when we talk about reality we really talk about the reflection, our perception, not reality itself.
