What say you? Best movie with drug paraphenalia! Not exactly a movie about doing drugs per se.. but it can have drugs in it.

hmm, lets see, i don't know, i have seen so many action movies about big drug deals and what not, but those were not good enough to remember. i have seen Fear and Loathing a countless number of times.

(the?) Naked Lunch was written while William S. Burroughs was all whacked out on insecticide with jack kerouac (at least that is what i pulled out of that conversation with my dad, i could be wrong though :wink: )

what is jesus' son about?

i prefer documentaries about drugs, as opposed to peoples interpretations. like that one about marijuana in Vietnam :thumbup:  and the history channel shows about illegal drugs.

Well said. Even though I have it on my movies list, its just a movie I happen to have on my computer. It's pretty so-so and i wouldnt do it with any psychedelic.

actually, Naked Lunch the movie is supposed to be telling the story of burroughs writing the book while fucked on imaginary substances.  The movie is full of metaphors about his life and stuff.  The actual book is very different than the movie, infact it doesn't really have a plot at all.  It was written while Burroughs was addicted to heroin and trying to quit it, in Tansier, Africa.

You guys are right about The Wall. I really like it, but don't think I could handle it on mushrooms, etc. Certain parts would be nice though.

The same can be said for fear and loathing. fuckin fantastic movie, but I've heard countless times of people watching it on acid (on shroomery and real life) and it (understandably) freaks the shit out of them.

The first time I saw the Wall was on acid, alone, in a dark room. Was amazing. I watched again a few months ago on another acid trip and remembered how much it kicks ass for tripping.
Fear and Loathing can be rough, but it certainly makes for an interesting trip.

Its not directly drug related unless you know hallucinogens pretty well, but the movie PI is my favorite tripped out movie even though im sure someone mentioned it already.

I remember watching the directors commentary, and the people who created that movie were some pretty tripped out folks. (Fun to listen to these three guys talk).

I almost forgot.........Anyone who has not seen "waiting for godot" by samuel beckett is missing out. It might just be one of the most interesting things to watch while tripping. I am not one who has ever watched movies while tripping. With this movie, it would be less like watching a movie than a journey into the center of the mind and the human condition.

In my top 5 favorite movies for sure. Artistically, Its number one.

Four characters(no extras), and spoken word that will make your head spin. Id vote it to be the only movie that can almost make you trip without actually tripping on some hallucinogen. Its visually VERY drab, so I mean tripping in a different way than some might expect im talking about.

Its hard to find, but you must find it........

PI, a movie about a mathematician, who finds god through numbers.
