"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

"People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

I completely agree. But what about your relationship to the animals and trees and everything else? They're just as important.

the only thing important is life itself. I believe the human being is a very important achievement of life, part of it's cutting edge technology. a creature that can manipulate the world for its purpose, something that may very well prove necessary in order to take life to other parts of the universe when this planet or galaxy no longer supports it.
a human being alone in the world is doomed to extinction, so relationships are absolutely essential. furthermore it assures that new gene combinations will materialize in the form of new opportunities for life.
all other forms of life are important, because they are themselves different opportunities for life to evolve.

To you... is that because relationships are a possibility or because they are required to sustain life?

What if you were the only individual left on the planet? Would life not be worth living?

That is necesssary for knowledge, but can often be a hinder to self-reflection.

Everything in moderation. Relationships with other people is essential to transfer thoughts and knowledge, but exercise it constantly and you will find problems abounding, such as annoyance, drama, attachment, etc.

Yes every relation is inevitably painful. A relationship with no tension ceases to be one, it just becomes a drug, it becomes somehting soporative that makes you go comfortably to sleep - and that's what's suitable for most of us.

But the real function of a relation is to reveal the state of our "self". A relationship is a process of revelation and knowledge of "self". We are only but mirrors.

That's why without relations, no existence. To be, is to be related. Its hard to realize and to understand that the world is my relationship with others. What I am is what I project, and of course if I don't understand myself then my whole personal circle of relations is confusion.

That's why relationships take an extreme importance. And i'm talking about the real concrete relationships, the one's within my circle of family, of friends, as small as it is.

The real revolution doesn't come with movements of the masses but by means of an internal re-evaluation of our relationships. This is where the true reform starts, the permanent and radical revolution.

But we're scared to start at such a modest level. The problem is so vast, we think we can only face it with huge groups of people, large organisations, movements of masses.

But there's no doubt that we have to adress the problem at the most elemantary level, and that is You and I.

When I understand myself, I understand You, and this comprehension gives birth to love.

Love is the missing factor: our relationships lack affection, tenderness, generosity, compassion and human warmth.

So Zippoz, you're right about pointing out the importance of our relationship to others. 5 shrooms for ya
