Got me a Pit *pics*

Just got done bathing her and setting up a place to sleep in my room. She's a full-blooded American Pitbull. Bought her for 20 bucks. :grin: She's reddish black with a white patch on her chest. She's a damn pretty gurl.  :thumbup: I'll git youse people some pics later on when I get some batteries. I got a hell of a deal.  :smile:

Not sure what to name her yet.... Maybe you can help me out ?  :laugh:

i didnt name my dog for 2 weeks atleast let him earn his name :wink: one day i noticed he had white shroom looking spot so i named him boomer it matches his personality too,

Naw....

She's fullblooded. Pit/Lab mixes do look pretty. I saw one while i was lookin around. It was too old, though.... I'm glad i waited. She's a nice dog. :smile:

Really doesn't look pure-bred... did you meet her parents?

I've been raising pits for years, have two at the moment, a purebred rednose and a purebred amstaff. Best dogs (properly trained) to own hands down.

Yeh. I met both her parents. Real good looking dogs. Those pics must not be very good.... I had to take those quickly since the batteries were going dead. I'll take more once I get some fresh ones.

I got a pit.. cute little guy is a rescue. You'd be amazed at how intelligent pit bulls are. He's about two years old now (not 100% sure when he was born), and I just taught him three new tricks in the past month. IME it's very rare to have a dog even learn a new trick after a year, and have it down perfectly.

I've had a couple of dogs, and I have to say, the second you earn a pit bull's trust they are a very friendly, loving, life-long companion. You don't have to work as hard as you would on say, a cat, but you don't get complete submission with idiocy like labs etc.

My cousin breeds them, next batch of pups and I get a free one, I need to read up on them though, anyone know any good books on them?
