I was bit on the foot while riding a bike. It wasn't trying to hurt me though, it was just playing around. It's not because of a personal story it's because those dogs are very dangerous and KILL people.

The problem is people. Once pit bulls are out of the way. What is to stop the next dog breed from becomming the most dangerous? Then the next. and the next.

Honestly there are many people, maybe most who don't deserve to have any dog. They don't learn how to train them and often ignore them and leave them tied up alone and seperate from their pack, whch is their owner and family.

I see your points. But it's the solution that is flawed.

True dogs are natural predators they are all potential killers a yorkie killed a toddler once so shit happens.the combination of poor owners,the media and the massive amount of pitbulls out there is why this is happening. But you cant kill all dogs that present this problem.what will be next the Dogo Argentino, Presa Canario there are tons of other powerfull breeds. If people are gonna get all pissy about it then make rules stricter for all big dogs.

My pitt is the best dog I've ever had. He's afraid of the cats for christ sake! I think thats kinda fucked up. Its sad to see that your glad and seem to be quite happy that innocent animals are "going to the ovens". It's quite ignorant to think this breed is a natural born killer. Most of the dogs that attack have been very badly mistreated, or trained to be fighting dogs. I do think a pitt that attacks anyone should be put down, but to kill an animal that has done nothing wrong simply for it being a certain breed is just sickening. Should we start kill dalmations, rottweilers, dobermans simply because some people claim thier breeds are inherantly evil?

All the pits that I have ever encountered have been unpredictable. Way more violent then Rotts or German Shepherds. I wouldn't want one roaming around without a leash and muzzle in an area where small children where playing.

On a fair note my friend used to have a Doberman that was pretty unpredictable he would be like your best friend while you where hanging in the house then any time anyone would walk out the door he would run after you snapping the whole time scary shit. The reason I don't think we see to many labordor bites on the news is because there isn't many and when there are they aren't as bad of injurys. Pits bite and dont let go they hold on and jerk their heads tearing flesh.

I don't think they should put all of them down but I think there should be strict rules enforced leash and muzzle laws and if the dog does kill another persons pet or bites a child it should then be put down.

Yes! The secret is in how you introduce them. You must remember there is a threat inherant in the introduction of a new pack member. Most people understand very little about dog psychology and so fuck up there chances to have a healthy dog almost every time.

Here is a web site that will be of tremendous help to any dog owner who wants to have a perfect dog, on  and off leash. Lots of free training articles and a forum. Watch out on the forum, they do not suffer fools gladly.

Pitbulls IME seem to have a genetic disposition of being aggressive toward other dogs, not so much towards people.  That is unless you're in their territory, then look the fuck out. 

Thing is any dog can be a good or bad dog depending on training.  Unfortunately a lot of people seek out pitbulls because they want a blood thirsty, viscous, tough ass dog.  And that's what they help shape them into, which is easier to do with them than other breeds.
