Not much to say except that nothing SPECIFICALLY predicted or unknowable through normal means has come to pass.

I read edgar cayce's interpretation of the biblical prophecy of revelations, and was very pleased.


He explains that the prophecy is meant to explain the INTERNAL changes that will occur, in the body of ourselves, not the body of earth.


Either way, I disagree with you.

I cant argue a point though, because its all interpretation.

Edgar Cayce predicted that the rapture would come in 1999...

A REAL prophecy has nothing to do with interpretation.

Real: A commercial airliner will crash in Dallas in May 2005 killing all on board.

Nonsensical: The bear will fight the eagle in the end times.

Didn't the bible tell us that we would know a true prophet because all of his predictions would come to pass? That is the test of prophethood- one wrong prediction, and you're not a prophet...

One of the definitions of Prophecy "An inspired utterance of a prophet, viewed as a revelation of divine will."


I certainly would imagine, just like a song, a book, or a poem , it can be interpretted in many ways.

As to the original intent of the writer, John, isnt it a mystery? In the revelations a LOT of metaphor and symbolism is used, which makes it hard to see a clear prediction. Especially when names and dates are not given.
