How does my agar plates look? It’s day 6. There was blue dye but it’s fading in some spots. From LC

You have a lot going on there and I see that no one has given you an answer yet. I'm personally not that experienced, but I'd start with transferring at least something on there to new plates. Maybe these areas would catch my eye if these were my plates. Not sure about what I'd do with the plates that seem fully grown.

If not anything else then my answer will invoke Cunningham's Law - "the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question; it's to post the wrong answer."

Aw man I was hoping for a better answer than that and that I could dump these In jars soon. I only have 4 plates left. I don’t know if I didn’t streak my plates right after watching methods after. I just took a needle and lc to plates

It looks like those are 1st inoculation plates

On average people go transfer that to a new agar plate n wait a weak and transfer a leading edge of the most uniform growth to another new agar plate. Wait a week and examine it indepth if it's clean u good if not transfer cabin sequester or trench or brown rice flower pucks or agar sandwitch it to cleanup further

That's common workflow kinda for me

So here's a t3 of the slower kamodoxbvi culture I'ma run it alongside the super fast kamodoxbvi culture :drunkaf:

The slow one takes about 12 to 14 to fully colonize a plate... Fast one is like 4 days maby probably 3 without agar sandwitch or cabin sequester :dealwithwhat:

Edit. Don't judge the burnt agar sediment you know it's cool af :oldman: lol all honesty next batch il try to remember to set a timer haha

New to the myco world and trying to do things the right way. First agar run. P. INGELI from spore so they are T0 plates. The first one you'll see sat for 2 weeks with nothing going on at all, then suddenly about 15 days in, a little white dot appeared and its been steadily growing to this size over the last 4 days. Is this Myc or contamination? Surprised it took over 2 weeks to get to this point if its Myc although I've read people have had a hard time getting it started after going through the Ingeli thread.

This second plate started in about 5ish days after inoculation and i started to see something grow on the surface of the agar and it seemed like a slow film that grew and started to see a structure of veins as it was developing, now its grayish colored after starting to try and thicken up after the last week and im not sure what this could be. Could the blue be throwing off a slow growing mycelium and making it this color or is this contam? Its taken about 19 days to get to the point its at now.

I appreciate any help, advice, and feedback from all of you. Thank you.

first plate looks like myc but maybe bacterial, with a haze around it, but hard to tell with the reflection of the light.

second plate is filthy, baccy or slime mold mebbe

Was checking plates and was like, hmm, what's that spot at 5:30?

On closer look it was the myc approaching bubbles in the agar, phew

And a few days later just a blip

This was a grain water plate I poured at least 6 or 8 months ago, lots of little bubbles. I don't get bubbles much anymore.

:ohmyfuck:

My last LMEA plates had bubbles. They are kinda annoying. Is it the way I poured? I poured at a lower temp than usual attempting to get plates with less condensation.

Usually air bubbles comes from shaking or swirling the agar mix post sterilization, can also come if you splash the mix while pouring.
