Here are the two plates. Transfered 7/27 and they are T4’s.

These are in the smaller plates I have all 90mm now. Where should I transfer from? I will do a couple WA and a couple Low nute plate transfers once my plates are ready.

Edit:low nute plates.

I'd take some aerial mycelium, seems there is a lot to choose from and do I see little knots on there? Would try transferring a couple of those as well, meaning not just the knots but trying to make a small as possible transfer.

Transferred 2 WA and 2 LN plates. Was able to get myc with no agar pretty easily for 3 of them. 1 has a small bit, but not much. I will keep you updated when it grows out a bit.

Some quick second flushes:

I think I figured out why the worm casting tubs have not produce a second flush yet - under hydrated. They just drank 4 full cups of water so I think that should do the trick.

This is how beautiful Bisporus myc can be when you give it a natural substrate. This is horse shit + grain + wood chips.

Looks awesome.. nice job.  Gotta love second flush.  I don’t even worry about first flush anymore.  If it’s a good one, that’s great but I keep my expectations low.  Second flush is when the sub is already full speed flush mode and gets a nice drink of water to get things right again.

I think this is technically 4th flush on these bsrs.  First two were pretty bleak but the culture/sub was working through some bacteria

Bisporus, first go, I couldn't wait and dropped some T1 from spore germ agar into these half pints. Being a cube-ochra guy, I was anxious nothing was happening after a few days- but 6 days in it had properly leapt off and I shook the little fuckers up (nocced the 5th, shook the 11th). They seem to be responding well!

So i have this bacterial tub that started spitting out fruits as some of you know about. Its still spitting fruits out here and there, actually more now than it ever has.

At first I was getting white stipe white caps, but now im getting white stipe tan caps.

Was just curious if anyone has seen this before?

First fruits

Fruits now

Well, this is the last test of the Estero I'm doing for a while, at least until I work the culture on agar for a while. I don't really care for how the myc looked in the jars, but I'm viewing this batch as more of a test of my pasteurizing process. I ran these blocks at 154F for 2.5 hours, and they sat at the cooldown temp of 86F for two hours before I got back into work to pull them out. Tossed them in the FC to rest while they colonize.

Yeah.  Pans tend to get better looking as the flushes go on, especially when the culture isn’t totally clean.  If the infection is light enough it seems to work through it.  This trays first “flush” was only deformed balls of myc that turned blue.  I cleaned the surface and rehydrated an appropriate amount based on what it had put out and the amount of time it took and eventually it started putting out normal fruits after a couple flushes.  I think this is technically 4th flush.

A clean culture will put out normal fruits right away.  Your conditions also need to be right as well

Your first fruits also have white stipes and tan caps.  They’re just aborts

So I'm these are my first transfers of my first try at ttbvi.

As this looks so different from cubes I'm not even sure if I've maybe just transferred mold. Though it doesn't quite look like it imho. Quite uneven growth though. Also maybe not the best of images so maybe I can find a better light or way for new images if needed.

I'd myself intuitively would probably pick something from the edges where it looks more uniform and further along, but not sure.

Id take a transfer from leading edges 8 o'clock or so on all 3 plates and doesn't look to different than the culture I'm working with though mine is wayyyyu thicker I lwk thought it was a mold too though because of how stupidly quick it colonized..  I bet in a week or less the transfer i just did will be fully colonize

Plate #2 looks best and I'd take transfers all around. The other two are doggy imo and I would stay away from the different looking, fan like growth
at 6-10 o'clock on plate #1 and from the fine, with dark spots, cloudy looking growth at 5-10 o'clock on plate #3, take transfers from the opposite side if you
like. I personally would concentrate on plate #2 as it expresses the most uniform growth.

To get a good image of the topography/areal growth you can use a small light/torch and put it sideways in the top right of left corner to apply
rake light and they come out like this. It's the only way I can get good images from a condiments cup no pour.

A combination of backlit and top lit images are best for assessment.

I'd also keep those plates around after transfers were taken.

Baba, would you agree that 7-9 o'clock on plate #2 is the best looking of all three plates?

The super quick growth that was eather some kinda white mold or kamodoxbvi turned out to be........ M gotchaaa it pinned the tinyest plin ever.

It isn't photogenic and my phone's camera is broke it can only take low low quality pics though yea it's just awesome genetics 🥰

I put it through another cabin sequester just to make sure it's fully clean we will find out soon
Next day off il make up some grains for kamodoxbvi n ochras 😁
