Anyway. Divine, bud. I wanted to take a minute for this. My council fought over who should do your writeup. We all had things to say.
As a crossover post, I confess, I didn't actually think you were gonna stick around and I didn't think you'd end up a cultivator and I want to apologize for that.  Back in spring I believe it was, I could see you were clearly trying. I could see you were having some struggles and I could tell you were determined. 

Now it seems to me, that you've earned your stripes.  You've overcome some difficult times in your life and you've done what you set out to do and I for one couldn't be more proud. You are one of us and we are so glad you're here with us.

Thanks for everything bud.  Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

This guy will ride a motorcycle at 120 mph without thinking twice, but ask him to mist his pins and suddenly we're dealing with a man who understands fear. He's not just here for the magic. He's cultivating across the mushroom kingdom: two reishi grows, two Pan Cyan grows, Blue Meanies, and JMF โ€“ which were the first to pin.

Speaking of pins, one thing that stood out most for me, Lo-Z, was how genuinely excited you got over ONE little pin. There was something strangely wholesome about watching you basically say, "I don't care what the pans are doing, THIS LITTLE GUY BELIEVES IN ME." Your excitement literally took me back to when I had my first pin with my first grow (APES), and I was feeling that excitement all over again with you. Savor that feeling, because although these OGs might remember their first, I'm not quite sure if they can still feel what it was like.

Youโ€™d apparently been lurking around the forums for about a month before finally deciding to join us โ€“ and definitely didn't waste any time once you did. Five days later, you have your own tek write-up. I should probably also mention your print tek.

But what really deserves recognition isn't how many mushrooms youโ€™ve got growing or how quickly you jumped into writing a tek. For a noob, youโ€™re not afraid to participate. You answer questions when you feel you have something useful to contribute, and I really respect the way you do it. Youโ€™ll tell us what you genuinely think based on what youโ€™ve learned and experienced so far, while also being completely upfront about the fact that youโ€™re still new and donโ€™t mind being corrected. There's no pretending to know more than you do, no ego about being wrong โ€“ just someone who's clearly excited to learn and already willing to give back to the same community youโ€™re learning from.

And maybe even more importantly, you encourage other people. Youโ€™re still figuring out your own grows, but that doesn't stop you from cheering someone else on or reassuring another new grower. I think that's an underrated part of what makes a forum like this worth coming back to. Knowledge matters, but so does having people around who make you want to keep trying when your tubs aren't cooperating.

Keep asking questions. Keep answering them. Keep writing. Keep learning. Weโ€™re all looking forward to seeing you jump over that big hurdle you call surface conditions, and are also excited to see how your TTBVI journey pans out!
