It's DENSE in there, a few of those are real dark, are these tent grown or...

That's what I'm talkin' about... passive tubs warm the soul from simplicity.  I enjoyed the Pan run figuring them out in 12qts.  Great work and phenomenal being MS I believe you mentioned... Wall to Wall... I don't think you could squeeze another fruiting body in there! :mushroom2:

Man, these look so excellent!

I’m running a number in EZ dials, and they all seem healthy but are just side pinning like nothing I’ve ever grown. I’m gonna have to spring for liners next round.

Yeah, I tried compression on some I spawned last Friday and they’re just replete with primordia and knots on the sides already. Couldn’t even get a casing on them before they went bonkers.

I pressed pretty steady with a trowel too, but I’ll really put the squeeze on them next time, I guess.

It’s nice to be working with a culture that’s motivated, at least.

I'm casing as soon as the surface is colonized, about a week after spawning. I have a 3rd tub going where I waited
until primordia started to form and it kicked out these beasts...

Ready yet? Caps are deep brown/black, stems dark and purplish in spots but remaining much lighter. Spores everywhere.

This is the 5th flush on my semp tub 'Camel', a try at adding bucket tekked HWFP to the substrate (80/20 coir/HWFP at a 3:1 sub:spawn ratio)
Originally, I took an idea of their wild habitat floor having sticks on & in the soil- as well as additional hype from seeing mico zapotec share pics of a particularly nice lookin robust semp (that grow having wood included in the recipe) at some point, I thought to add wood pellets to some tubs.

More of a :botgirl: than :einstein: attempt I will admit.







So far there has been no discernable difference to the grow cycle from it. It was S2B'd on march 19th, first harvest may 2nd, second harvest mid june, third harvest july 23rd, fourth harvest august 18th.

Fifth flush, has got six on its tail- sort of staggered or succesively pushing up fruits.


Timeline overall is pretty within the bounds of my experience with this clone run on coir alone. Starting off, I done my traditional verm pseudo case which allowed for a full carpet on flush one:

still had nice coverage at flush four as well.
But I'd run out of verm a while ago and so the recent flush has a coir top.
I prefer doing the verm, a mix of course & fine ideally.

Spore from the fourth flush has went to making the tub 'Ecco', spawned to the opposite ratio of HWFP: coir (being, 80HWFP, 20coir)




It overlayed quite a lot and after I scraped that off, I wish I'd have sprung for some verm because the surface is pretty sad- notably it has a lot of metabolites for a while.

I can see some bunches of primordia forming so I'll leave it be for this round, but for flush 2 i'll definitely ensure Ihave bought some verm to get it recased because they really DO love the nooks and crannies.

And I'm not sure whether I'll continue persuing adding HWFP to my semp grow, otherwise all there is to do is try some from these wood enriched batches to test the strength, but realistically I don't even need/want more psilo out of these little rippers.

And now, to offset all this text, here are pics of a bunch of semps (all pics are the clone 'Camel', in various grows) from  2026:

that was a mix of big and small verm, put on at field cap although past a point they've been misted and soaked and whathaveyou to saturation surely.
