I too have stepped back for a bit. Busy work schedule lead to no time to keep up with things. I miss it and miss this place but I've gotta grind right now. I've got a bunch of trich growing in a closet right now that Im not looking forward to cleaning up...

I :maybe: have a plate of atl7 with a mold spot I'm trying to cleanup stubbornly because i need the experience lol.

On another note the caerulescens plate is also showingaslightlysus spot

And every other plate is eather clean or bacterial though to early to tell lwk

Gonna wait another day and transfer a section of atl7 mycelium if it's grown enough if not I might have to empty plate n get it ready for next agar batch lol n try from spore again πŸ™ I do have another atl7 plate I got working with to cleanup n better condition though it's a clone n I kinda wanted to mess with atl 7 from spore

Edit. I forgot to mention I've misplaced my scalpel has anyone seen it? :uhoh:

Beef, I recently saw in one of your posts that you were watering when pins appeared in your tubs.

I wanted to ask β€” up until what point in the cubensis development is it safe to expose them to direct water?

I'm currently in this same spot. My first set of pins is starting to come in but my surface doesnt have any micro beads of water on it. I feel like if I gave it a mist with the flarisol it would help but I also see a lot of people saying it will abort them so im hesitant to mist my first set of pins.

I'll try it next time, but it makes me a little nervous to soak the casing that much.

Though since I'll be working with PF-Tek mini-bulks now β€” they're pretty convenient for running tests.

I just watered all my tubs that have full fruits with caps about to open trying to push them one last time.  Ive been obsessed with trying to crack the micro-fruit mystery of yeti.  So far,  honesly no real luck but daily flooding does help.  Its genetic.



Flooding DOES sortof stop more pins from forming so you need to be comfortable with the number of pins you do have.  Misting is better if youre still trying to get more pins but once you have enough, flood that shit.  Luke warm water


I didnt invent this btw.  I got it from bakedbeings.

The trick is to grow so many shrooms you dont mind experimenting with a few tubs.  With experience comes confidence.

If I had to do this, which I can't imagine, I think I would do a dead drop to a different spot each time and pin the location to the local college bulletin board. :shrug:
