But why would someone ignore you simply for mentioning Croatian Fascist government in a normal post you were just commenting on something I wrote, do you think someone saw that and thought that it was too much because of the very nature of the thing mentioned because it can be considered too graphic? if you thinks thats the case then Im thinking Im going to have 50 ignores for the posts I make...

Honestly I dont even know anymore If Im posting too crazy stuff and making a reasonable number of posters shake their head when they read me or if I should just ignore these thoughts. But then again maybe im being told something by the ignores and maybe youre helping me to see that as well, idk maybe im overthinking now...:bongload:

Dont worry bout it bud.  POTENT personalities garner potent opinions.  Cant please everyone bud.  I have five ignores myself and idgaf.

Today im reading all the posts and listening to all the music posted. But this reply from you... its weird how small stuff like that can mean so much. Already today I didnt press send 2 times on two different posts and those were replies to others as well, the whole day i felt whatever I write its too much.. Then all of a sudden I feel light again and posting is fun once again when I dont overthink it.

:iloveyoubitch:

doggy you one of the good'uns.  I've gone through life being an intense/potent human. people have strong opinions about me one way or the other. they either love me or they hate me and very little between the two.  one of the only good things about getting older is the less and less I give a fuck about what people think of me.

I confess that there are a WHOLLLLLE lot of emotions bubbling just below the surface for me right now...I'm about 10 days away from sending my only child off to NYC for college. His mom is driving him crazy, he's mentally just soooo ready to dip out already, and I'm waiting for the emotional hurricane to hit. It's a heady time for sure.

Just wanted to pop in and say that. Love you people and love being able to share that here.

Except this guy.  Id be devastated if noku didnt think well of me.

Glad you dropped in man.  lets do a phone call this weekend and catch up bud. miss you. hope we both get some time to be present a bit more.
I can't imagine how strange that must feel for you.  hang tough brother.

Question for the group.

How do you handle anxiety and terror in a trip?

Here's my go to procedure has never failed me once (never had a bad trip on shrooms EVER)

Im not claiming that I have never been confronted with something in trips that on the surface has the potential to to shatter you emotionally, it can be too deep too profound moments of realizations about the nature of existance/reality. It can be feelings of dread or despair that cant be put into words, It can be ones own mind producing scary imagery and thoughts, whatever is terrifying in the moment I present this idea to myself:

First things first, I know better than to shy away or try to hide or run from arising negativity from within, I dont need to indulge in unproductive or simply destructive thoughts/feelings but I clearly know that if I try to ignore it it wont go away it will actually intensify.

This thing I notice I see it as a cloud in the sky, it forms stays for a little while and then passes or dissolves. And I propose this scenario to myself. I say: Lets say that I have the power right now to instantly remove this trip entirely and to become completely sober, the power to instantly make all scary thought and feelings go away.... HOWEVER, If I do choose to bail out, then I will never again get to enjoy another trip ever again (those are just the mechanics of this fake reality scenarion i propoe)

And now the transformative ingredient (and it works the best if you take it seriously and really contemplate it genuinly take in all of its meaning) this is what I end up realizing.

I realize that regardless how awful this trip is making me feel in this very moment, imagine.... JUST IMAGINE how awful id feel if this medicine/tool did not exist, what would I have done then, how unimagineably more depressing that reality would be compared to this fleeting experience of negativety im expereincing right now. And the more I realize how GRATEFUL i actually should be that I even have the privilige to enjoy this experience of tripping, "I almost feel ashamed that I even briefly for a second started contemplating bailing out of this trip and forever losing the experience of tripping..."

Those are the core emotional philosofical conclusions I arrive at when I genuinely try to humble myself when confronted with the idea of "what if you never even had the opportunity to take a few risks and trips" and this always within minutes makes every negativity just dissolve and vanish alltogether. For me, and i bet it could work for others as well. Gratitude is everything

Fiddle, sounds like a good day! I hope you continue to absorb this good stuff into your life. The simple things are easy to overlook. I'm happy for ya!

Thanks for the input on how you guys deal with "bad" trips. Maybe a combo of both responses would be the perfect bite.

Noku, good to see you, man! Sorry to hear you're going through challenging times. It's a good challenge, tho! It sounds like you have a good kid there. I understand how it will be difficult to send him off but this is his first voyage into becoming a man of his own means. Be proud beyond comprehension, big dog! I think its super cool! Makes me wanna hug someone! My cat is gonna hafta do! C'mere kitty! We're doin' this for Noku & Co!

Good morning everyone!

Guys, do you remember my "strange" candle triangle as a desperate idea when I couldn't afford a SAB box at the time?

Look, I have no intention of defending any idea that carries more risk than necessary or isn't that practical, but... I've been using the damn candle triangle all along. And maybe the freakiest part is that I already have a 36L box that would work perfectly — but I decided to keep going with the triangle until I start having contamination problems.

I've prepared 34 cakes so far, of which I had to discard 4. One of them was one of the mini Tidal Wave (MS) cakes due to wet spot, and the three Cambodian (MS) cakes I had prepared from a print dated 2024 — because there was no activity whatsoever.

I've also prepared some Water Agar and BRF Agar jars. The Cambodian spores show no activity on Water Agar either (so I'm ruling out handling contamination for now) — discarded cakes and with the agar I'm waiting to see if there's any activity. They don't seem to have contaminated — I'll try to get some decent photos later with another phone.

For now everything is colonizing well. The GT spores I'm using, I collected myself from the commercial mycelium block I bought when I got back into growing — to have something going while I adjusted the setup and prepared the cakes. And every time I open the jar with the multispore liquid in the center of the triangle to refill the same syringe — that's already 4-5 times now.

The five GT clone cakes (cloned from a specimen from the commercial mycelium block) I made with LI I prepared in the same candle triangle. And there they are fruiting and pinning away.

I know this doesn't prove anything and I'll say again I'm not defending this idea. I just want to share the results so far. Contaminations might still explode aggressively on the second or third flush — I don't know, I'll find out.

So despite having a box ready for a proper SAB, I'll stick with the triangle for now — at least until problems start showing up.

I'll keep you posted.

Hugs

Eyo Gil, chewing on the thread like a little kitten. How was the trip? Did you end up combining stuff, or was it 'just' acid? Love to read your musings and random thoughts.

LdK is LadysKnight. The in between d serves to distinguish from LotKid.

LdK is a very wise person and someone who incorporated several lessons that I half-learned but never really integrated. Re: anger at society, putting up fights everywhere, accepting the flow of life as it comes etc. Love that guy.

With regards to terror and anxiety... I always try to fully embrace them. And provoke them. Going out on the street, seeing people's faces rot off, that kind of thing. Dive into it and it will dissolve, at a certain point.

I must admit that I have an unhealthy lack of fear for several things in the default world and get a real kick out of being humiliated by a substance, so for what it's worth. But especially mushrooms, more specific Ps cyan and Pan cyan, can really scare the piss out of me. And at higher doses LSD can give me raging paranoia on the comedown. I consider it very therapeutic, have been the type that turns all fear into anger for way too long. Which doesn't really make for a nice personality or well-balanced character.

For my wife, it can really help if I massage her for a bit, and eating something small can get her head out of anxious / paranoid loops. Feed the girl some eggplant rolls or a good burrito. Speak to a sense that hasn't been on the front row, so to say.

When I used to tripsit a lot of people, I'd tell them stories about when the cats were kittens, whenever someone started to get loopy. Point I'm trying to convey, I guess, is focus on something that has nothing to do with you and has some kind of intrinsic niceness, beauty or tastyness. This is of course, relating to the more paranoid 'anxiety and terror'. If the terror is some kind of tucked-away memory or trauma, speak it out of course. But with the 'what if the cops come, and I don't have the registration papers of the car parked over there, will they tow it?' kind of thought, some gently distraction often does the trick

I think the lack of fear really is such a crazy experience.

I lived in a place where fear was such a big part of what would limit my behavior. "I can't get shitfaced drunk, because someone can take advantage of me" sort of thinking for example.

Once I got out of that mentality I had to rebuild my limits.

Needles to say, I would be getting shitfaced a lot.

I get outside and look at the stars if I can.  Makes my anxiety seem insignificant.

Hi guys!

I deal with terror and anxiety during a trip by taking a hit of nitrous oxide. Always steers me right.

I know I shouldn't, but I badly wanna hug those caterpillars!  Just happy lil worm dudes, chillin and doin their thing.

As for the trip anxiety/terror thing, being near my wife helps, for me.  Not just during trips, either.  I can anchor myself like an old oak tree, knowing she's around.

Oh, they are cute, until you get destroyed by bud worms, aka moths droppin' bombs on your nugs.  Every great once in a while I find a horn worm in my tomatoes, but it's rare for me, they will destroy the top growth of new shoots, ugly suckers.

Also goig pitch black in a comfortable bed  with some trance playing. Helps alot by turning down the stimulation until you can level out.    Tunnel thru the cevs.  Its how they do trips in clinical sessions.

Outside walkin and stars help me as well.  Change the scenery. Somtimes its simply the room in  or show your watching.

Try not to say this sucks.  Why did I do this to my self. I wish it was over.

Say things like this is intense
I took a substamcem. Its only a matter of time before it's levels out and eventually ends.
