I forgot to mention that YES they smell like Tamps.  That was the first thing that made me go hmmm… I was like… either Ps Wayanadensis smells just like tamps or….  And I was trying to grow either Pollock or Tamp x ATL 7 at the time so its entirely possible that there was a mix up… or the IWL failed and there were tamp spores that got it in and grew….

Next step is a Q test to make sure they’re active so I don’t die trying to find out. Lol.  I heard Gallerina tastes like cucumber too!


They're certainly an active so you won't die. Galerina smell to me exactly the same as Ps. serbica which people look for in my area. Like a nature's not-so-funny joke.

It's a simple spore check , also gills are the wrong color for Galerina

I'm thinking about making a tea with five grams of grain and pearls when I go to do a grain to grain transfer and sending it to bulk. I know five fresh grams of pearls are active on their own, but I don't know about five grams of spawn with the pearls unseperated.
I'll let yall know the trip report.  These are Panaeolus cinctulus

Duplicate post from pic of the day….After getting 4 flushes from this ATL7 shoebox, I decided to retire it to harvest the sclerotia. Took it with me on my hunting trip knowing I’d have a little spare time. 209 grams of sclerotia, some of which were absolute boulders. 🪨 🪨 Thanks to Rev for the recommendation of a mesh gardening basket to make the work a breeze!

ATL7 colonized in fairly cool temps - mid/high 60s, maybe cooler at night.

Myc is real thin - have y'all seen this before? Innoculant was a master grain jar that I've previously used to inoculate spawn that I've had fruiting since end of sept, so I'm inclined to believe the master is not the issue. I have 2 jars that look like this, so I'd have to assume I fucked the dog on sterile technique with both jars, if this is contam. Seems unlikely, but nothing is impossible, I guess.

I need to do more research if you know what I mean... but the two are very similar and I like it more than cubensis.
