Thanks cron! Yeah I was being sarcastic. Sorry everyone if that wasn't obvious. It's goddamn annoying trying to filter out useful info and serious convos with all this crap going on.

Ditched the plates. Washing the glass ones rn.

Another serious question: my bispo clone sucked. I've read about other bispo clones not being worth the hassle too. So far I've only cloned cubes, galindoi and woodlovers. And recently subtrops. All very worthwile. Is pan bispo the only one that generally performs better / equal from ms?

All that area in the middle is bacterial but there are areas around the edges which have mycelium. I'm keeping it stored vertically and will clean it up for fun. I'm actually surprised that the whole thing isn't bacterial.

This plate was just a fun plate since I had all these spores sitting in the bottom of a test tube after doing some dilutions. My estimate is around 7 million spores.

Yeah, i mean no reason for it to be a bacterial mess unless it is for some reason.

Lots of techniques when it comes trying to achieve germination from a single spore.

I've been using the drag and drop method versus serial dilution.

Trench warfare update. I've been battling a lot of contam lately, and trenching really helps. It's not perfect(sometimes bad shit makes the jump), but it's great tool in getting clean myc

Swiped a wack of spore plates last week got nothing so far , tried a few transfers from old plates I managed to get hillbilly and a pan plate to take so far

MIB RS 8/22 spores > rye water agar, fist growth noticed on 8/25




TTBVI 8/22 spores > rye water agar, first growth noticed on 8/26. The plate was over poured, I'm surprised it's functional.

Hey folks, have some questions about these plates:

I got an enigma plate from somebody and every transfer from it I've taken has this weird growth, it's sorta lumpy with metabolites. What could be causing this? Am I cultivating contam?


Also I took a clone recently and it has this thin, transparent growth around it on the plate. I've been told this is "embedded bacteria", is that true?



Also here's one I'm working on, just to share, a clone from 2+ years ago I resurrected from the fridge a little while ago. Other plates have been pinning like crazy.

Started with a spore syringe that seemed to have mycelium growth floating around, a few black specs of spores (I am assuming). I tried a number of attempts with a couple with contamination but no mycelium growth.

Did not expect anything in three days since I inoculated them but checked anyway. Nothing on the other plates or the PF pucks as expected but this one has some growth. When I pored the plates this one ended up with a lump in it as I was a little tardy while poring so the surface is not all flat, also condensation in it. Given that, what am I looking at? Or too early to ask? I put the plat on a red surface in the one picture just in case it helped, these two the best picture I could manage.

I thought as much but being wet behind the ears I wanted confirmation. I will give the other inoculations a change to grow but I think I was sold a load of crap.
