I think the point you are making says more about the way recent elections have kicked up the polarity of the nation.  Pundits have always taken the positions necessary to increase the odds of their chosen candidate winning, but it seems that these days many common people make themselves into pundits because they think it's necessary since this particular election is so fucking important.

Of course, every election since Obama has been about very existence of our nation.  I remember mocking Phred during 2012 about his apocalyptic view of the election, but now...that seems to be the thing for every Presidential election and many midterms.

It's on both sides, too.  We have budbudman in here taking absurd pro-trump stances that no human being could actually believe because trump has to be perfect.  Similarly, biden has to be sharp as ever.  There's no room for the greys anymore....if there ever was.

I think it has a lot to do with internet culture and the fear of being proven wrong. People with 10k+ posts will just straight up stop posting here because some political development dings their credibility. It’s crazy lmao

What if Lincoln was not the president during the Civil War.....what if Bill Clinton wasn't the President post Soviet Cold War...President Bush, 9/11?

Fear is a motivating factory, yet there seems to be discernable events constantly around us that gives this flavor of being fucked. Do the politicans magnify this....?

Of course, see above....yet there seems to be events where our nation does seem to hang on a thread, despite propaganda. Maybe it's the human condition, maybe  we are more aware (like down to the detail) of a precieved tragedy...or maybe the gray is being ratfucked.

I have no clue, other than the US is still around.

I will never stop posting no matter how many times I am wrong, because as I have previously explained, I am never wrong.

Very basic takeaway here being that there seems to be a lack of ongoing crucial discernment, meanwhile in its stead are regular displays of extreme views, coached in highly polarized political views and positions.  Though, that isn’t anything truly new in itself.  Although, the current political climate has become more apparent, in my opinion.  In that how things are has been further enhanced, made even more apparent due to modernization and all which comes with it - the tech, the software, the platforms, the easy access to a mind boggling amount of information from myriad sources, the inherent tendency for everything about an online account’s access to the world being restricted such that the identity associated with the account forms in an echo chamber.

Both inadvertently and intentionally, we’ve setup ourselves such that these things naturally just happen to occur as a part of everyday regular normal life for people.  In these ways and more, I think it that the already existing schisms between groups of people have been widened.  Not something which necessarily has to happen to those with a solid understanding in life, however, that doesn’t mean a solid understanding exempts one from falling prey to the same forces, the same fate as those who fail to understand their overall situation in life wrt ongoing issues.  Tl;dr: Engaging with life through various forms of illogicality leads to shit.  Allowing emotions to cloud a clear intellect compounds that shit, leading to more shittiness.

Is there any truth, that Hunter has now "lost" his 5th Amendment right, to not self incriminate on any questions during the timeframe  (like 10 years) of the pardon? .... he can't self incriminate because he is already pardoned?

Who says that?  I’m not aware of one nullifing the other, though perhaps there exists a special case in law where that’s true?  Idk, as, if so, that knowledge is currently beyond me.  Plus, I haven’t seen much on the matter besides a single headline about his dad pardoning him for certain crimes.  Him being pardoned doesn’t come as a complete surprising though.  All the cool kids are doing it these days.

A pardon does change the 5th amendment protection insofar as any threat of prosecution is removed.  It's not clear that the pardon removed all threat of prosecution.

Who in the motherfuck is voting for Joe Biden? He is the front-runner but I have not heard one single word of support for him from anybody anywhere. Not milennials, not boomers, not repubs and not democrats. No one gives a fraction of a fuck about Biden, he is perhaps the most lackluster candidate to ever have any place in politics. Joe Biden is the human equivalent of a stale piece of white bread.

Call me crazy, but it's fuckin rigged, dude. No one is fucking voting for  Biden. If he were to run without any interference he would get 0 votes. The dems had him picked for this election since the day Trump got elected and they made damn sure that people got it in their heads that he was gonna be practically an uncontested front-runner.

Joe Biden could've died 20 years ago and not one single aspect of anything at all on Earth would be changed in the slightest. He will be the poster boy of  corporate bought puppets. Im a cringy Trump hater, but my god at least Trump is a human fuckin being. I would vote for him 100,000 times before I vote for Biden.

Does anyone here support Biden? Does anyone here know a single person, doesnt even have to be someone you know in real life, just literally a  single person who is alive on planet earth, who supports Joe Biden for president? Please tell me im not the only one who just gets this reeking stench of a scam from this whole thing. There is a 0% chance that creepy geezer is the legitimate front-runner. No one in their right mind is going to get up early, wait in line for 3 hours in the cold, and fill out a poll sheet in order to vote for Joe fuckin Biden. Nobody. It's like voting for a turkey sandwich you dropped behind your coach 10 years ago and everyone knows it. So WHYYY is he front-runner?

I’m gonna put this right here.
This motherfucker!
:gooby:
This was prophetic.

I doubt it was even about Trump. They prob have a list 10 names long of candidates to run. It would have been a no-brainer for Biden to run following Obama, but I think his other son's untimely death in 2015 interrupted a potential 2016 run. So they subbed Hilary in last minute. Once she failed and Biden got through the grieving process he was next in line again.

If Beau didn't die I'm sure Biden would have run in 2016, probably won, and maybe MAGA never would have gained steam.

But when asked in June, he said he felt it had been a fair trial and would respect the jury decision.

It's a total 180.

Who fucking cares. The high road is bullshit. He had the power to keep his kid out of prison. It’s not like he’s pardoning people who committed crimes for him, or would flip on him. Trump has issued so many self serving pardons, I can’t even remember half of them:

I get it you're in a fuck-it mood, but dude, corruption becoming such a norm that you can't even remember or care about it anymore is not a place to settle at.

Found a clip of him in 2018, two years before running. He sounds too slow back then too. You can tell he's reading the teleprompter with zero cognition behind it.
