Finally caved


Trying the vabiooth autoclaveable dishes..  figured I’d start small just in case I didn’t like it (I’m sure I will.. the possibilities are already running wild in my brain).  The first time was pretty uncomfortable tho but that might be because I poured the jars first and getting the lids and shit situated wasn’t fun but the actual plates went pretty smoothly but I completely didn’t even think about the surface being level.  When I started pouring and all the agar went to the top, I kinda freaked out :lol:  I’ll fix that tho

Big thanks to Milkboy and his thread and holding my hand a bit.. pretty much followed that to the T.  Stipe and his vids and psilicon and his Thread

Is the FFU also a new addition? I've always been amazed at what you accomplish - in general, but especially without agar, cloning in oven bags!

Yeah, got the ffu not long ago.  Always said I wouldn’t do agar without one so here we are.  Just took 3 clones and holy shit was that easy lol.  It’s gonna be nice to be able to clone whenever I want and however many I want.  It was a huge hassle before (prior to the ffu anyway.). Huge space saver with plates tho.  Those 4oz grain jars get cumbersome along with the obvious benefits of agar.. culture cleaning etc.  I’m stoked.  A big part of putting it off was my worry it’s gonna get outta hand lol. My plans are already piling up

They're same genus Panaeolus, but separate species. Bisporus has two spores, cyanescens is more common with the standard 4 spore basidia. You can look up the complete list of taxonomic differences, those are the basic.

It would be Panaeolus bisporus, they are their own species.

Not to nit pick but species are never capitalized. If you want to be that proper. Autocorrect is annoying though

Keep the type location in there so it's not forgotten.
