I tried 1g for the first time last Friday with two of my buddies
I have never had such euphoria from mushrooms before,even after Pans
I rarely trip but it's definitely the best variety

How strong was your gram compared to cubes??

This makes me so excited to get back on the horse and get a successful grow under my belt. I was so bummed about my first two tubs failing. I've been trying to get some new germ plates going, but my sample is proving to be a bit stubborn.

Wonder if semps are one that have higher levels of aeruginascin? Gartz thought that was the "good trip" euphoria chemical. They have several chemicals, but not much about it I've found.

well it's hard to compare it to cubes but last time I rode APE SN almost 3.5 g and no comparison
practically zero body load,where at ape I felt like I ended up in a vise

I grow the semps from Labber but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, I can say though that I wouldn't take 2g again because it was just so over the top it confused me for months after.

We also called the laying you out part "prostration" but I see people now saying paralysis and I'm sure that has to be different? Ours you could fight, you just didn't want to, felt good. The paralysis makes me wonder and how full on they mean.

they are wondering if it is and they don't have another candidate - but its amazing how they know about the constiuents of corn, yet only one guy looking at any chemical besides psilocin in a mushroom. There probably is a combining effect.


But it's funny I never heard of the "wood lover paralysis" till I got back this time and I have never had it? I'm glad they said "anecdotal" and "in some" - I have had the trees jump and def been wobbly before, but nothing like what they were describing.

I have both a semp print and LC syringe so I’m planning on my next project to use one or both of these. I’ve read through VL’s EF Tek thread and it looks awesome, but I was wondering if there are any BRF grow logs or threads out there for growing semps.

Haven’t dipped my toes into agar yet, only PF Tek so far, so I’ll definitely be attempting cakes in jars, but just curious if there is any documentation outside of VL’s thread. Had trouble using the search function for this.

I think the problem you might run into with cakes is that Semps take so much longer than cubes that any contaminants present would likely overtake the cake before fruits are ready or even before they show up.
I've had Semps take 6 weeks to pin, sometimes only 10 days. Then they take weeks to mature. Maybe 2 maybe 6, depending on your strain.
Clean spawn is a must with these.

Well, I have seen people have success with cakes. Probably not ideal and not big yields, but it has been shown to work. Just wondering if there were any logs or teks (outside of VLs thread).

Just for a small personal stash and experimentation.

You could do it. Going from a clean lc to sterilized cakes, but using traditional spore to steamed cakes probably wouldn't be worthwhile.
VLs method uses proper sterile techniques. People that are good at growing cubes often get spanked trying to grow Semps.
They are worth the effort of doing properly. If you still do cakes, try to learn the other techniques you need to have a good semp run anyway. An established tubes can fruit for a really long time.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I plan to learn agar and grains, but haven’t pulled the trigger on the other equipment needed yet. And just need some more time with life in general. So, I’m kind of in a weird in between phase right now really wanting to take a run at semps but not exactly ideally prepared (outside of cakes).

Well there’s good news for you, you don’t even need to grow mushrooms to trip with semperviva. If you can colonize something with the myc you’ll be set.

The shrooms are definitely worth growing though
