My two favorite complaints after a ban:

1. He started it;
2. You let X and Y get away with that shit all the time, so it must be a personal thing against me.

The majority just admit that they crossed the line and apologize.  Those bans typically end early.  Occasionally there are people who just lay into me with attacks.  Depending on the situation, I'll either increase the severity of the ban or just ignore them.

You gave me a couple ban points for telling Lowbrow I was surprised he could even spell 'abstract'. You said I knew I crossed the line, which was true, but I got away with it so many times before. It's a fun challenge deciding how to phrase insults.

As far as I can remember, you give out warnings and only ban after a pattern of unacceptable posts. Sometimes you just encourage people to go away. I like that.
