I saw a really interesting analysis of trumps response to the pee tape allegations, where it becomes quite obvious that he did engage in the act, but seems incredulous it was recorded

And how would you know that, considering you're not privy to classified information? Did you break into a state department building or something?

Yes, yes, that's why his approval ratings are in the gutter. Hahahaha. Grasping at straws.

As much as I want to believe it, I've always thought the pee tape thing was more on the questionable side because I know Trump's a germaphobe. Then again, his hate for Obama is legendary so I can see him putting aside his phobias for any chance to humiliate him, in his mind. So yeah, I've never given much merit to that one but it would be absolutely amazing if it were true. His response that Comey detailed, assuming its true, is pretty sketchy though. Which makes me wonder.
Can you link the analysis you're talking about so I can read/watch it?

I'm not sure where I saw it. Most likely I will come across it again. It was an analysis of an interview he did right before the innauguration in light of what was in the comey book. Essentially it comes down to, if he didn't engage in the act, then what exactly did he want comey to investigate. It sounds like he wanted to find out if a tape actually existed, which sorta means there was something to be taped.

Are you referring to when he asked Comey to investigate it and prove there wasn't a pee tape? It's an awfully odd request as if the incident never occurred Trump would know there was not a pee tape, he'd not be concerned to begin with, and thus there would be nothing to investigate, you can't prove something doesn't exist after all.

Fresh urine being sterile is a somewhat common myth it seems, wouldn't be surprising if Trump heard that and was OK with it out of spite.
He could have just had someone videotape it to show him as well.

Well if you read the Steele dossier, the allegation is that trump had the prostitutes pee on the bed while he watched. He didn't get peed on

I wasn't saying he got peed on. Just speculating.
Him watching a recording would still be watching, either way wouldn't be surprising

According to Comey, Trump told him he wouldn't even be okay with people "peeing on each other" because of the germaphobe thing.

This response is what made it a big "Hmmmmm" for me. I went from not giving it much merit to going, "Hey, there's a real possibility..."
If indeed Trump didn't do it and knew there was no tape, then asking Comey to investigate and sending him on a wild goose chase is a waste of resources, at best. On the other hand, if he did hire a few hookers and knew there was a possibility of there being a tape, it is an implication of guilt, at worst.
