One of 16 semilanceata jars almost done and it's looking good :sun:




Two more weeks to start thinking about spawning and patch placement. I hope this time they will pop like they did the first time.

I know a few people on here have caerulipes cultures going on agar, what recipes does it seem to like? only tried on PDA so far and has very slow growth.

1% lme seems to grow decently well. It's not the fastest species, but much faster than the angulospora, weraroa, or yungensis I have.

1.4% MYA has been working well for me, not terribly slow either.

Hi y'all, hope everybody's doing well.

Joining in on the samuiensis party!





First tray I spawned aint doin shiiit. This second tray pictured above was from a plate pin.

Treated them like mexicana, 1 quart oats to 1.5 quart coir, cased with peat.
Spent 8 days colonizing, then 10 days fruiting in a jcm. These fruit are about 6 days old.

Very smol. Only about 15mm cap diameter when flattened and 1.5 inches tall. I was expecting them to be closer to mexicana in size.
Appreciate any tips y'all might have on getting them to be bigger.

Taste is initially like mexicana but they have a weird after taste. TCO wasn't far off in saying hints of WD40 :lol:. Although to be fair I rarely ever tasted mexicana fresh so perhaps I just never noticed it before.

Feels good to have something fruiting again :cheers:

Yes! They are beginning to sporulate. Will try for prints tomorrow if I can find the time.
Yield will likely be small given how tiny the fruit are

Good to see some fruiting cultures so quickly. I still have a few more to test but right now I'm happy with the first one.
Starting to get a few aborts. I think I'll take a clone or two this weekend and harvest. I'll try for spores when I take a real shot at them. Cheese wheel worms have been fun though. Easy too. These were done in an unmodified tub so I'm thinking the GH will work nicely.

Hey y’all. I got P. aztecorum, zapotecorum, neoxalapensis, semperviva, mexicana, caerulescense and cube(blue magnolia) on agar yesterday. 

Not all super exotic but should keep me busy.  P. aztecorum is my bucket list fruit.  Thanks TCO and CF.

Well things don't always look as they are and things can be misread and mistaken for what they realy are so don't read too much into what I say since I might be mistaken myself. And remember I rarely ever give a definate answer.

I said I would update on the weekend on my papuana. Fruits are developing nicely, though with some aborts among the BWT-01 line. I'll admit things are moving slower than I thought. Temps right around 70f, very wet, I'm pouring out collecting water every couple days from the shoeboxes, but they seem to like it so far.





Whereas the ORS-1 line seems thicker, more robust:





However, thicker fruits are showing up from the BWT line, so it's looking pretty cool to me. Definitely slow growing.

Speaking of slow growing, found my first zapotecorum pin!



This is Talpa #2. Been in fruiting for just over a month, since Feb 2.
