Thanks Yoshi! Hopefully I get some decent prints, and enough material to try a dose. What did you think of their potency?

Unfortunately, the genetics I've fruited didn't have much sparkle to them.  I have read that they pack a punch though.

It's high on my list, for sure. I want to have at least 3g together before I try them. I would love to get them sequenced, along with a few others.

My random guess is that they're going to be close to Mexicana in potency, but it's just because they smell like those.

Papuana has a funny taste, reminded me of how the_chosen_one said samuiensis tastes like WD-40. Lots of side chemistry going on.

Neoxalapensis are staying interesting:

If anyone wants to grow this papuana, I have prints from this flush. Send me your address in a pm.

Sick :radman:
Yeah I remember being shocked how close to mexicana my bandillerensis spawn smelled.  I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for your experience report.  Very cool of you to get some folks going with paps.
Tax:

Lots of pseudosclerotia forming on my moose dung hispanica box.  Could account for the distinct blob formations on the surface since this is uncased, or maybe a couple stressed primordia formed. Idk.  Will keep an eye on it though.  My last project contaminated (last year maybe?), so hoping for a few fruits for prints this time.

Other papuana strain still going. Really hope it opens up before it aborts, like the last flush did.

Neoxalapensis doesn't give any fucks. It grows the way it wants.

Interesting fruits. Did you take a spore print? What do they smell like?

I’m guessing some kind of sclerotia producer

Yeah maybe take a pic of the sub from the side. See any sclerotia? Darker colored than the myc and solid. All that will smell strongly of cucumbers, and taste that way too.

If it's tamps or mexicana, looks a lot like tamps to me, too.

Looking like it, some other Pholiotina make them.
The last jars I had I don't think we're forming true sclerotia, but this looks quite different.
One of the older jars :

The mycelial masses were pretty soft and mildly active.

That's top drawer neato stuff.  Makes me want to culture some of the non-active pholiotina around here to see what happens for funsies...
