It's been mild since the last kind of early freeze. Was just outside in a T-shirt playing chips, dumping expired and casualties. Lots of things coming up early on the property and I'm seeing the beginning of trich season. I'm thinking we're through the worst of the really cold weather.

False start February, do not be deceived. Every year around this time in NW Oregon everyone is talking about how it's an early spring and winter is over....

Nope. It's going to get cold again, it always does. February out here always has a couple of warm weeks. I've seen buds setting during the false start, and a lot of them tend to die back when it gets freezing again.

I could be wrong, but then again my elbow is aching :lol:

We had 3ft snow few yrs back end of April. That's why I'm not thinking spring I'd here yet it's just a tease

Took a month to thaw out from that January deep freeze though. We were having the earliest false start I've ever seen before that.
We'll probably get a few more sloppy dumpings but I think we've seen the last of those long freezes here. Fucking hope so anyways. The well lines froze for four days with that one. First time in 25 years that's happened. Thankfully didn't loose power.. much.
I did see some mature daffodils in two locations the other day and I'm getting mugged by new birds while feeding the chickens lol. I remain nervously positive.
Besides. BMac says it's going to be sweltering.

All Psilocybe are in Hymenogastraceae because of the hierarchical classifications of life, unless I'm mistaken. So everything in Hymenogastraceae is under Agaricales, which is under Basidiomycota, under Fungi, etc.
