Update on the papuana.

BWT-01 pheno has a thinner presentation. This is about an inch tall now.

Lots more pins showing up everywhere on the casing.

ORS-1 on the other hand looks stockier, thicker and is larger.

Pretty slow going for now. I'll update again on the weekend.

Just a label for the strain, was handed down from a vendor I think. I honestly don't know.

I can infer that BWT is bobwastaken... Maybe.

Nice work! I’m eager to see how they look matured and whether they turn dark colored

Well bruise my stipe and call me active....damn this is cool!
Totally went under my radar but i am very happy to see this happen with Spores that I collected (I was the one who sold a few prints to Nichy which to my understanding were also used by you). Very cool stuff indeed.
One thing I want to mention about liniformans is that when I took home a few pieces of fruit producing dung in 2022 and let them in my yard they did not rlly produce. However after a month in my yard we were hit by a week of hard frost (-10 c) with snow. After this week the clumps of dung started to produce a lot of mushrooms. You might want to test out tinkering with temperatures to get more consistent results.

All in all your work make me a very happy spore collector

I’m really surprised how well they held on, I ran 4 shoeboxes, two got a cool down and 2 stayed at room temp, the ones that didn’t cool down have done better, and one that got a cool down molded worse than this one. I’ve got more coming up that are going in bags on various substrates, spent oyster sub is looking like a real winner for a lot of these.
The the smithii on spent oyster looks nice and consolidated, still unsure how I’m going to case it, I’m thinking straight peat, or I might just case with live green moss.

Couldn't make out the date on the stuntzii box.  How long from spawning until fruits Trout?

They were real old blocks of sawdust, like they had algae and mosses starting to grow on them, but still living oyster, they were even pinning once things got wet outside, and I mixed them about 50:50 with coir verm and sterilized them. They look awesome, and I need to case them.

I believe I spawned them December 27. They seem to take some patience.
Ovoid are starting to do their thing in the yard as well!

Nothing like deep conversation with family.

I've been watching you two and your spent subs too.

Nice.  Just spotted dozens of tiny, tiny little hyphal knots forming in the fuzz today and that one was spawned 1Jan, so that gives me hope I'm not losing my mind to false hope lol.

Yeah the spent sub thing... everything seems to LOVE spent cube and oyster subs.  Banderillensis and neoxalapensis seem to prefer them to everything I've tested thus far...  Anxious to see how baeocystis go on spent cube subs.

Beao has always looked like it’s on the verge of dyeing, I’ve got it on spent oyster, manure, and coir, it all looks about the same, no idea.
I noticed something in the area where my smithii grows, I dug some holes in the lawn and found dead cottonwood roots that had a similar looking myc colonized in them. The vine like roots, ones that had been cut away from the main trees, the type that throw up suckers. Not saying that’s the key to finding them, but would be nice if more eyes were looking for them and maybe that’ll help with finding them, looking around cottonwood and aspen? Another patch I found would have black locust nearby which has similar roots.
