What kind of filter do you use? I'm using a polyfill stuffed hole.

Oh yeah then that needs protected. I use the full synthetic disks from perfecti fungi.

And these don’t require protection? I just got some.

yeah I just got some of those too, was meaning to ask about that

because of our euro jars and whatnot I don't use the whole disc to a jar but cut out a bunch and then rtv them to the lids

I guess the same care applies and I will be good without foiling my jars before PC anymore?

thanks fellas:cheers:

Those SFDs do not need foil. I adhere them using RTV like Nef does, and they have lasted for years. My metal lids have even gotten the SFDs a little rusty, and I still don't have issues. They are the way to go.

The stickers are usually hydrophobic so no need for foil. I always use foil regardless, just habit.

I use the stickers and no foil. I have 45 out of 45 healthy looking jars right now that say this is fine.

I use glass petri’s and unmodded plastic lids these days anyways. Only time I use filters is if I’m being lazy and using my old salsa jars for no pour agar.

So after over a month in agar hell, my plates a finally starting to show some normal growth signs.

Been adding a pinch on NY my last 2 sleeves pours.

If you have ever asked yourself if NY can be too old to be used in agar, the answer is YES

5 years old NY (I have 40 plates looking funky like that):

No outdated NY (I also have 40 plates showing signs of normal growth but still hating jumping of the NY transfer piece):

Taking better Petri dish and shroom grow photos

In anything, I trust people who do well what I'm trying to do. That's why I never trusted things I read on Reddit by people who sounded solid but never posted pix of their grow. Instead I took advice from people here who have posted years of photos of tubs of fat shroom canopies.

Does this worth any farther isolation or should I just keep it as is?

Thanks!
I guess these PESA T1s aren’t terrible

Also poured like 70 plates last night I’ve been more conscious about making the plates look better without so much condensation. I find that not opening the PC for about 3 hrs after the cycle is done helps a lot with clumping. Also i think that if the room is on the warmer side  then the plates won’t fog up as much. I left them sitting out in the sab overnight and it got cold as fuck so some of them were a little wet but that’s ok.

Sorry my pics aren’t the best..still working on getting better..my phone doesn’t take the best pics…but anyways  this is a transfer from another plate to clean it up…do you guys see anything bad? Do you think I need to transfer again? It looks pretty good to me but I’m a noob with agar….the 12 o clock to about 5 o clock has me questioning but I think it’s just growing a little different…what do you guys think? Thank you in advance for any responses

12 to 5 is probably bacterial. Could also simply be sectoring but honestly I not sure and in doubt... transfer.

Also you thumb is dirty.

Also also you are not wearing shoes
