using agar?

can any1 tell me what agar is, how to make it, and how to use it to start mycelium growth.

agar it a derivitive of sea weed so you don't make agar.
Agar is similar to Jello and you mix in with the agar Malt extract,agar, water. and peptone if you have it Then you place it in a pressure cooker or autoclave to sterilized yor media and then poor it into petri dishes and it will gel up then you take a previous culture or spores and place them on agar and this will start your mycelium growth

You can order agar through Mycosupply.com or I have already premixed agar on my site.
