Mix agar, fill pitcher, PC with a foil lid and pour plates with that nifty ass handle. I'm still using a 1000ml pyrex media bottle, but this caveman technology is 100% on my list.

The short form of my two long replies (other than pour very hot), that I don't think anyone else said was:

I leave bottles in the PC, sitting in the hot water, with the lid on (but loose) while I pour each bottle to keep them hot.

Then put the empties back in the PC so they'll stay warm, so be easy to clean.

Does he leave his flow hood wall of Marshall stacks on 24/7? He said he leaves his poured plates in front of them for a day.

I don't have the luxury of a dedicated shroom room, use my bedroom, running it all the time would be loud as fuck. Is this a commercial gourmet grow op?

What's the big circular thing on the other wall at the beginning around 12 seconds? Is that an industrial autoclave?

yes to lots of those things. his channel is good.

i dont let my filter run 24/7 and i dont let my plates sit in front of them for a day. when my agar is soild i wrap em and store em

Any sensible advice for doing swabs first time, I'll be putting one drop of water to hydrate the swab tips then just swabbing agar plates...

Will wait for any assistance before swabbing in case you have some good tek?

Swabs, in my experience, are harder than prints. What you’re describing is a good approach. Do you have a set, or just a single swab for this variety? If you only have one swab, I would suggest a different method first. If not, go for it.

Skip the water and streaking method, it's just not very reliable. In my experience your best bet is to pluck strands of cotton off the tip and place them onto your agar plate. You can get a few plates done that way. Lately though I just break the tip off the swab and bury the whole thing in my agar plate
